  1. ....and attached to a 50-3 loss. Lets just hope that our "name" and "brand" had impact on people in Florida before 7pm last night, and nobody paid attention to what happened after that point.
  2. I think most of us who suffered through many of the demoralizing events of the last 12 years would say otherwise. Just a few short years ago, we all would have died for a chance at a MAC East title.
  3. I don't want to make this sound simple, with the 2 recent blowouts. But...When you are playing teams that are capable of scoring a lot of points, you have to be able to make tackles that can end possessions. And on the other side of the ball, you have to capitalize on scoring opportunities. We had no chance in hell against Toledo or FAU because we could not do those 2 things.
  4. Is that true that we waited until August of the following year to extend his contract after that Bowl Win in 2015? That's what the link above says. I just don't remember those details, but that seems strange to wait that long. I only have one question. Where's those few posters who spent most of the entire last year telling us that Bowden was 100% gone at the end of the year? Lets face it. He's a bargain for what he has produced, and canning him now would not be good timing for this program. But it's obvious that he does not believe that the actions of his OC are to blame for under-performance on that side of the ball. And I don't know if he's going to get pressured to do something about that.
  5. Just to throw this in there. Frenchy went nuts on the radio in the 4th quarter about his thoughts about us taking this game on someone else's HOME FIELD, after others had turned it down.
  6. We may not have to worry about that anyway. His dad will have him transfer because we are not doing enough to make him a Heisman candidate.
  7. I felt like we needed to thank Kato for what he did for us in that magical first half against OU, and move him back to the backup role the following week. He still could have been a great 2nd option for the next few games, and been available if we needed him. I'm afraid we may have killed all of his confidence now. Bad move.
  8. I said they would never schedule us, and we've tried hard for years. However, the OU game has already been discussed here. They scheduled them when they knew they were going to have a down year, and a few others over the years at strategically appropriate times. It's been a long time since we've had a season where it would put us in that category. That's why I said in another thread that I wouldn't be surprised if they scheduled us now.
  9. And people question why OSWho would never put us on their schedule? It's a nothing-to-gain situation for the Hoosier to play a D-1 team so close to them, win or lose.
  10. I wish I could send this post to the 190-some House Members and 40-some Senators who have a (D) next to their name, and have yet to cast ONE SINGLE yes vote for any of Trump's policy initiatives.
  11. Through close friends of the family, I've been getting information about an Ohio kid who's being recruited, but his only DI-A offer is coming from Kent. As you might guess, he's very apprehensive, and looks like he will go FCS to avoid that mess over there.
  12. I couldn't agree with you more on all of these points.
  13. I just saw JoJo return a kick late in the game for the Jets, and run deep for an attempted pass just after that. I don't know if he saw any earlier action in the game.
  14. That's fair to compare our competition vs. their competition. And I'd say there's at least a few teams that we played this year that are better than anyone they played in their league. Hopefully that difference makes us better prepared.
  15. Do I see Bikinis? Sorry, Those kinds of things really catch your attention when it's December in Ohio.
  16. No, they don't look very good. In fact, they look really bad !! Zipsoutsider makes a great point. This was FAU's top competitor in C-USA this year?
  17. Sure, why not? We're Zips fans looking for some comparisons. If a top level C-USA team may not be anywhere near as good as a top level Sunbelt team right now, that's potentially good news for us, since we fared well against that Top Sunbelt school.
  18. No kidding. That looks like something a high school would produce.
  19. I applaud you for knowing a little bit about the establishment of the City of Akron, and its history.
  20. That was good. I think those of us who were college age in the 80's will get it right away.
  21. Really strange. It's like everyone believes that he already has one foot out the door.
  22. You mean, this one? Perfect promo, and features the Suckeye Nuthead. Zippy Video.mp4
  23. I knew somehow that this would get back to defending the same liberal talking points that we've heard for decades. We're hearing it today with the complaints about the new tax overhaul too. This country is seeing much higher GDP growth, stock market records, historically low unemployment, etc., because we have leadership in place that sees American's free market system the way it should be seen. It's great to see us returning to those principles.
  24. I absolutely loved that he had that attitude. Edit: Just to add, that night we played the Suckeyes, and we asked everyone to turn in their OSWho gear, that was the best promotion ever !!
