GP1
I don't see how JD can save his job. With that said, he deserves a big thanks from everyone on this board. The team was prepared to play today. In fact, JD has a great record against the scumbags from Portage Co.Thanks JD.
Dave in Green
All JD has to do is convince UA that he can get the Zips to play like they did today on a regular basis. Like so many others, I left the stadium this evening feeling really good.

zipfan85
i don't think JD can save his job, but what if he finishes out the season with the team that showed up to play tonight? After all, doesn't he have one year left on his contract? Just something to think about. I don't think he needs one more chance, we should look ahead to new and better things and move on. Hilltopper
This was the Zips team I expected to see this season. Way to go Zips.
GoZips
Not so sure that the Zips are so great as Cant is playing with a monkey on its back. No, wait, that monkey is a gorilla and is named King Kong.
72 Roo
I won't take the bait as to commenting on the future. Let's celebrate the Now. Thanks to JD for having the team prepared and the players for never quitting or ceasing to believe. This was a great win! Thanks Zip footballers. It's 11:54 pm and K.e.n.t. State ..... bandzip
It's 11:54 pm and K.e.n.t. State .....I've decided the time is really an irrelevant factor in this statement.
Let'sGoZips94
It's 11:54 pm and K.e.n.t. State .....STILL AND WILL ALWAYS... SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's a flush? On behalf of JD, I would like to say thanks. The players always play for him no matter how bad the circumstances. Hey, the man whooped on Can't during his tenure here. I love the man's character. However, I don't think character alone can save his job, sadly.

johnnyzip84
I'm in agreement that JD had the team ready to play on Saturday. And I thank him for that as well (and nary a rugby punt.....yes!!!)In relayed news, the "other" head coach in the 2005 Motor City Bowl has apparently been let go by Memphis (ESPN Link). Western Kentucky's coach is out now too. The carousel has begun.ESPN Link

ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net
I'd take that sort of fluff here! Thanks JD for the great game last Saturday. And for the one win over a D-1 opponent in the last year. And for the slimy 3-3-5 defense that screams "Beat Us" each and every week. And for trying to squeak by with CJacq even though he had already proven to be a huge risk. And for failing to deliver on the promise of the first season in the Info. And for using the idiotic rugby punt so many times. And for landing the UA program in the illustrious ESPN bottom ten (maybe bottom 3 or 5 even) this year. And for making me worry about your ability to beat a pathetic Can't State team last weekend. Great stuff! Thanks!

And it would make the fans calling for his hide FEEL GOOD! That's what, and considering it's those fans that pay to keep the lights on, it wouldn't be such a bad symbolic move, IMO. There must be too many Browns fans on this board if we are going to start firing coaches to make the fans feel better.
