Dr Z
Zips are a nine point favorite. No. 12 Bowling Green vs. No. 1 Akron, 6:30 p.m. ET (BCSN/TWCS/ESPN3) Greg Franke (PxP), Steve Mix (Color), Marisa Contipelli (Sideline)
kreed5120
I say Zips find their rhythm from 3 again and win by 15.
RowdyZip
The biggest challenge with this game is to not look past BG to our potential championship matchup. BG is looking to ignore history and prove themselves. Looking at their boards, they want to "ignore the last 12 years" and beat UA. You can bet their team is thinking the same. I'd love to see a huge lead early and rest for some of the guys who were banged up yesterday (Antino, Reggie, Jake). On the plus side, we're 6-0 vs remaining teams! MDZip
Zips have got to win this one. The irony of losing as a 1 seed to the first 12 seed to ever make the semis and having beaten them for pretty much every game of the 21st century would just be too much to take. Blue & Gold
Gotta jump on them early. They're playing well right now with two upsets in a row. Gotta take their confidence away and establish that this game is going to end just like every other game against Akron.
zipsrule
Let's hope the fact that this is BG's 3rd game in 5 days catches up with them.
NWAkron
All positive energy today!! We will win. Losing to BG is not an option. Time for the clock to strike midnight on this Cinderella.

The Hip Zip
Thirty lashes to the first guy that says it's tough to beat a team 3 times in a season. It's one of the biggest myths in sports. Edited March 11, 2016 by The Hip Zip

Let'sGoZips94
I haven't followed BG's little Cinderella run very closely. What has been the key to their success?
NWAkron
Thinking about it...considering they beat OU twice they probably aren't much of a Cinderella... In our little world of the MAC.

Antwon Lillard. Scored all 13 of his points against Kent in the second half, and went off for 26 yesterday including the game winning 3. I believe I heard the announcers say yesterday that he's a 21% 3 point shooter but he's playing with a lot of confidence the last 3 games(they almost won against Buffalo on the final game of the season, he scored 19 that game.) Playing hard enough to not get down big and stay in the game. Part of what helped BG yesterday was CMU going 4-10 from the FT line down the stretch. And yeah, I listened to the end and the CMU announcers were complaining about their FT shooting. Thank you for the responses! Like I said, I haven't followed their little run very closely and was wondering if the key(s) to their success is something we can stop. Come out of the gate and snuff them out before they can get any momentum. Get them down early and they will be out of the game before it even starts. The basketball team survived, but I hope it's a wake up call for the rest of the tournament and I hope they come out tonight firing on all cylinders.
kreed5120
At some point in the post season you know a 3 point shooting team is going to have an off shooting night. You just hope on those nights that you can find some other way to win and not let it cost you your season. The Zips managed to survive to live another day. clarkwgriswold
Lillard is a real player. I saw him play at Cleveland Central Catholic. Late in the state championship game last year he threw down a huge dunk but was called for a technical for hanging on the rim, which ended up in a tie which they lost in OT. NWAkron
An All-East division final four. Parity? Someone wrote that we are 6-0 against the remaining teams. Ohio beat Buffalo twice. BG beat Ohio twice. Buffalo beat BG twice Akron beat all of them twice. What that means? I have no idea.

Can't get worse than listening to those clowns! This website makes us a 85.5% favorite to win today, 58% chance of winning the MAC, AND a 50/50 shot of getting an at-large selection if we lose @Cleveland!
