clarkwgriswold Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 It's a little early to put this game up, but I wanted everyone to get the word on the schedule change from Saturday the 9th to Friday the 8th at 9 p.m. Ugh, I thought I disliked Saturday afternoon games. Quote
kreed5120 Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Never too early to start discussing Akron/PCCC basketball Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 5 games early and Can't State still sucks. Didn't think this game would get picked up. 1 Quote
zipfan84 Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 I will now be unable to attend. Not a good way to treat a dwindling fan base. Quote
NWAkron Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 I don't think the University has a choice in this matter. Quote

ZippyRulz Posted January 19, 2019 Report Posted January 19, 2019 They are 13-4 and favored at home today vs. NIU. Should be a nice fat bullseye on them on Feb. 8. Quote
ZipsVoice Posted January 19, 2019 Report Posted January 19, 2019 Future Flushes - I have seen Stow High play on several occasions this season, and I am SO happy that the Portage County Community College has signed 6'10" Evan Bainbridge. Not to pick on this kid, he seems to be a nice, good kid, no issues, but he is not going to be a threat to the Zips in years ahead, IMHO. In the three games I've watched, he has scored 2, zero, and 4 points against teams that have no one over 6'4". He LOVES to play outside the 3 line, so he's not even a threat on rebounding. His coach is one of the best in Summit County, maybe Ohio, and if he can't figure out how to get him the ball, I don't know who can. Now I know that kids mature differently, and maybe Pinky can help him transition in to a good MAC baller ( ) but I'm not concerned. Quote
zippy5 Posted January 19, 2019 Report Posted January 19, 2019 It takes a special kind of talent to put up those numbers as a 6'10" high school kid Quote

To his credit, Stow has little else so he sees a lot of double teams and his coach isn't much one for altering a game plan. 1 Quote

He doesn't sound like a Pinky recruit, much less a Can't recruit in general. 1 Quote

clarkwgriswold Posted February 6, 2019 Author Report Posted February 6, 2019 Mr. Pinky is the winningest coach in PCCC history. Translation- he's been too mediocre to ever move onward and upward. It's like being the all-time leader in minor league home runs (Crash Davis by the way). Quote
NWAkron Posted February 6, 2019 Report Posted February 6, 2019 PCCC@Ravenna will be in a world of hurt next year Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted February 7, 2019 Author Report Posted February 7, 2019 The Flushes are all about the guards. Walker averages over 23, leading the MAC in scoring while Avery competently runs to the point. Beating them is all about slowing those two down. Quote

Not so much the kid from Richfield. 1 Quote
