1981 grad
The lighting does suck. I had to brighten my tv. Glad to see it is not the streaming. Zips are having trouble against the zone. Too many turnovers. LCJ hitting the 3 ball is saving this team. We have 2 inside baskets.

clarkwgriswold
They need to not back off now. Don't give them hope and let them back in the game.

Let'sGoZips94
Did Cheese practice 3's from the other side of Lake Erie or something? These are DEEP. Edit: Did the TEAM practice 3's from the other side of Lake Erie?! Edited January 4, 2020 by Let'sGoZips94
clarkwgriswold
Nothing like knocking down a high percentage of 3s to break a zone.
clarkwgriswold
Announcers harping on the Zips high 3 point percentage thus far. That doesn't explain scoring 20 points in a half. That score has as much to do with UA's defense as their shooting.
Let'sGoZips94
Very impressive first half. Survived the slow start, shot well, high-intensity effort. 18 pt lead - come out in the second half and keep building on that.
MDZip
Zips could not have played much better in that half. But what's wrong with Banks. He's the only zip who's attempted a three who's shooting under 60%. ?? Holy crap. Edited January 4, 2020 by MDZip
1981 grad
Eastern Michigan has been very aggressive on the offensive boards. I like the way their players follow their shots. It does not surprise me that they are leading the Zips on the boards. Great shooting by the Zips. Some of those 3 pointers are very deep. There little chance that continues the entire game. (although I hope that it does). I love Jackson's steal at the end of the half. I have seen him do that several times. For a small guy he can get high to deflect the ball and then score at the other end of the basket. Great first half by the Zips. Lets see if they can keep up the intensity in the second half. clarkwgriswold
Announcers dismayed by Akron vs. EMU's 3 point shooting percentages. That's the difference between uncontested and contested shots.

clarkwgriswold
Zips really shouldn't have anyone in the game of consequence this late. And with that, we get Marquell and company. Edited January 4, 2020 by clarkwgriswold
Let'sGoZips94
24 pt win on the road to open up MAC play. Couldn't ask for a better result and confidence builder considering our struggles on the road in recent years.

And it's always good to show you can beat the 2-3 when necessary, even if the 3's won't always be falling like they did today. If this team continues to play great defense like they have most of this season, they should have a shot in every game from here on out. Yes, but he wasn't very noticeable with his play. I can't wait for him to get back up to speed.
zippy5
Great win. I'll stop short of calling it a statement game but we're clearly in the upper tier of the conference right now. Pumped to get into the meat of MAC play now! This is a deep team that can win in a few different ways
