Getsy vs Fields is heating up yet again. Last year, Getsy got a lot of credit for "fixing" Fields. This year, he is being questioned as Fields continues to regress.

Getsy coached a Hall of Fame in Green Bay. Now he has to coach a Hall of Shamer in Chicago.

Having JD, Moorhead, and Ferri here has its benefits despite the W/L record not reflecting progress (yet).

It's probably a long shot. But if Moorhead doesn't work out I'd love to see if Getsy would be willing to coach the Zips.

NFL offensive coordinators make more than $1 million per year. They can't afford him.

JoeMoe was making a million a year as an OC also, but I agree, not many are willing to take that pay cut

Getsy also hasn't really been all too great of a coach

To be fair though. None of the Akron coaches have been either.

I'm always shocked at how many times NFL coordinators keep getting hired without seeing much success.

To be fair to your being fair, the University hasn't done a historically good job of supporting the coaches.

Apparently when he interviewed here before the AD didn't treat him too well.
