Just watched the Zips weekly coaches show.  No mention of Semaj Beals.  He just committed at the beginning of August.  Is he gone already??  Thought his size and speed would be a good replacement for Tahj

I don't believe the coaches are permitted to publicly comment on any recruit (by name) until they officially sign.

Semaj Beals is still in high school. The Johnson kid from Syracuse will play the Tahj role this year I believe, at least at QB. Don’t know if he’ll be lined up at a skill position though lol

Perhaps just looking for an early opportunity to play that way he can cash in on NIL in 1-2 years.

That would not be the worst thing for the Zips to emphasize, not at all.  Hopefully they're getting the data on how much their guys leaving get paid so they can use that in marketing to potential recruits.
