Saturday is a very fun slate.

Akron v Murray State

UMass v Florida State

CMU v Stony Brook (old buddy Geno Ford)

Toledo v Robert Morris

Ohio v St. Bonnie in Cleveland

Miami OH and NIU also play but their games don't count in the "very fun" category.

Who is Miami playing? Hiram, John Carroll, or Mount Union?

Kent state losing to Portland. Makes me feel a bit better

Starting their road trip from Hell off on the right foot. Losing to Portland before flying to UMass, then going to Purdue. Look what happens when they play a legit road game.

Buffalo also lost a close one to East Carolina.

WMU and Balls lost as well, but that was expected.

Miami OH survived their toughest test to date. The team with the weakest SOS going into the night finally played a team in the top 200 in NET - a Q3 opportunity at Wright State (138 night going into the night). Miami OH was up by 12 at the half and won by 7. They shot 55% from the field and 53% from 3P, only winning by 7 despite Wright State going 3-21 (14%!!!!) from 3P and 43% from the field. The Sweaters will continue to get AP Top 25 votes despite playing absolute creampuffs.

Toledo got throttled by Michigan State. BUGS creamed a lowly Chicago State. NIU and Ohio beat non DI opponents.

Not including last night's games, the MAC currently has 9 teams in the top 200 NET. Only WMU, NIU, CMU, and Balls are outside the top 200; the latter 3 are all 300+.

And as a reward for Miami playing that extraordinarily difficult out of conference schedule, they start with cream puff Ball State.

We rag on Miami for their weak schedule, but their road win @ Wright State is better than any win we have during OOC play.

You typed all that out just to further my point. Their win @ Wright State is better than any of our wins. In fact, it very well might end up being a Q2 win come March. Their NET is better than Iona and Miami got their win on the road while we got ours on a neutral court. They also have 2 Q3 wins to our 1.

I'm not saying they're better. I'm more pointing out the fact we also just beat up on cupcakes during OOC play (evident by the fact all but 1 of our wins were Q4 wins). The better teams we played we lost to. We also played a very weak OOC schedule (#252 per kenpom). Not as weak as Miami who had the 4th worst (#362), but still nothing to brag about.
