TK is a terrific regular season coach. I just don't think his finesse style of play leads itself to winning in March when the level of physicality gets ramped up. You need guys diving on the court for loose balls or fighting off 2 defenders for an offensive rebound.

You see that kind of energy from Akron over the years and even Kent. It's no surprise those are two teams that you see consistently make it to the later rounds.

The Sweaters are kicking the crap out of Turdledo. I think I just saw someone in the stands wearing an Akron hat with the current logo. Is Bud funding a secret Harbaugh-Stallions scouting budget or does he just use interns?

After doing some research I believe we are actually tied with Duke for the longest home win streak, they haven't lost at cameron since their final home game against UNC in 2024. Same timeline for us except our loss was against Eastern Michigan 😑

St Thomas is #1 and unfortunately tied with Travis as well for 2nd.

Am I wrong for thinking it isn't that crazy to think Miami could enter the MAC Tournament undefeated?

vs Buffalo

at Kent

vs UMass

vs NIU

at Buffalo

at Marshall

vs Ohio

at UMass

vs BGSU

at EMU

at WMU

vs Toledo

at Ohio

Not having to come to the JAR and only playing Kent once (although at Kent) gives them a favorable road to Cleveland.

I'm not questioning they are favorites in any particular game, but odds are they still lose at least 1 game.

No MAC team has gone undefeated in conference play since 1958, which was ironically Miami who went 12-0. In that time between then and now we've seen some terrific teams Wally Miami, Kent State Elite 8, Buffalo a few years back to name a few. They all had at least 1 loss and frankly they would all be heavy favorites over this years Miami team.

If the MAC was as bad as it was last year I would think the possibility would be greater, but this year there are plenty of MAC teams capable of sneaking up on you. EMU beat Cincy, BG knocked off Kansas State, UMass beat 2 P4, and even Ohio knocked off a fairly good St. Bonaventure.

Edit: I want to be clear my comment wasn't meant to be a knock to Miami. I feel their start is better than many are giving them credit for. I understand their SOS is very weak, but it's more challenging to consistently win games you're expected to than what people give it credit for. Look at Akron as a prime example. 3 out of our 4 losses we entered into the game as the Vegas favorite, but lost.

at ohio, at umass, and at either of the directional michigans I could see them losing one of those

I could see them losing at Kent, at Marshall, at Ohio, or vs Toledo. Not all four but at least 1-2 of them.
