BG is not good, but they're more of a problem than Toledo/UMass because they have length & can shoot. I want Toledo to win so tomorrow night is as physical as it gets.

I had a tab open for Miami OH's stats. Just went to their schedule and physically watched the 31-0 change to 31-1. It was cinema.

So I didn't get my Miami loss on a last second bank shot. But the player who stole the ball that pretty much sealed the game is named Banks so I'll take that. 🤣

Looking at the Miami OH box score, for just the 4th time in MAC play, Miami OH didn't have a FTA advantage. Both teams shot 18 FTs. Also of note, Miami OH didn't have a bad shooting day (48% FG, 36% 3P); UMass only shot 20% from 3P and 52% from FG. Almost a carbon copy of last year's MAC title game where Miami OH shot the ball well and still lost to a team with a worse shooting performance. Is Steele the new Kowalchoke?

 

Edit: Also, UMass outrebounded Miami OH 41-24.

As long as the Toledo Bowling Green game ends in regulation, Akron should start just around 4:00.
