clarkwgriswold Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 My inclination is to root against Miami but at the same time Miami's success would be good for the MAC, and what's good for the MAC would have some benefit to Akron. The MAC teams doing well on the "Big Stage" would help the conference in being taken seriously on a national level. 7 Quote

Surprisingly, my hatred of a team and coach can overcome what is "good for the MAC." 4 Quote

Just like these 16 seeds that win the First Four games technically get a NCAA Tournament win while we don't have one. Not really fair but it's life. Quote

But then, for the vibes, I decided to use it on Akron making the Sweet 16. So, when that happens, I'll be $200 richer. 😆 I took all 3 bonus bets from DK & FD and threw it on SMU alternate spread (-8.5 to -9.5). Either my bank account benefits or Akron's bank account benefits from the credit split. Miami OH played 2 P4 teams last season with virtually the same roster (minus Ipsaro, Kraft, Cooper, and Potter). They lost to Michigan by 27 and Indiana by 19. SMU is a bigger, more skilled, and better shooting version of UMass and there won't be MAC refs. I will be truly shocked if this is a competitive game tonight. Let'sGoZips94 Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 Hammer Dahn (Pat McAfee's betting show) just had a full show pick of Akron +7.5. Complimented Akron and said even if Akron goes down big early, don't worry; they have fight in them like the MAC title game. 2 Quote
MDZip Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 So what's the head count going to Tampa? Heading there tomorrow. Quote

Think I’ll grab some steak and lobster and watch from my recliner. Does the school offer tickets? Looking at the Gametime app, for Friday's early session, there's tickets as low as $53 and lower level tickets for under $90. 1 Quote
MDZip Posted March 18 Report Posted March 18 ESPN just listed the top 50 players that could affect the NCAA tournament. #50 was Peter Suder. Not a chance he's one of the top 50 players in the tournament. He's definitely not the best player in the MAC (despite the stupid voting) and he may not even be the best player on his team. While I know the financial incentive would be good if they won, I want them bounced in the first round tonight. 1 Quote

Hope that punk goes home tonight with his tail between his legs and I never have to see him cry to the refs again. Edited March 18 by Let'sGoZips94 Quote
