Zippy87 Posted Wednesday at 03:39 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 03:39 PM This is all going to be fascinating to watch play out. I do wonder why the NCAA has decided to make this, of all issues, the hill they choose to die on. Akron could face some tough decisions. If the NCAA threatens to sanction them, what do they do? Quote

We have better character than the LSU’s or Texas Tech’s of the world. interesting how much the environment has changed since Covid. LCJ, Cheese, Riak etc got screwed by not only having their career cut short, but also the class after them got the extra COVID year and not them. Edited Wednesday at 04:02 PM by LZIp 4 Quote

As much as we may want Evan to play this season, rules, even those we don't like, have to be followed. Quote

My cousin was a senior wrestler at OSU when covid wiped out NCAAs. He was #1 in the country. His career ended abruptly, while everyone that was a year younger got an entire additional year, and now the new 5 for 5 stuff is coming in. Kinda sucks for that college class of 2020 graduating class. Quote

Mine are in my account but when I click on each, it says the ticket is not available for download. Probably too soon yet, as I usually get an email when they're available and haven't gotten that email yet. I was curious if the YSU game would be included since it's designed to raise money through ticket sales. Just received confirmation email that the tickets are active and that I can download. I went and looked. It appears season ticket renewals come with the YSU exhibition included. Quote

Let'sGoZips94 Posted yesterday at 08:12 PM Report Posted yesterday at 08:12 PM (edited) Spot on from PK. NCAA needs to throw in the towel. TEMU Jon Rahm isn't beating the logic of the coaches. Edited yesterday at 08:14 PM by Let'sGoZips94 1 Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I need to know who exactly at the NCAA offices in Indy is benefiting from the 2022 class being barred from the 5-in-5 rule, because the NCAA is literally dying on this hill. What a performative load of crap. Edited 6 hours ago by Let'sGoZips94 Quote
zippy5 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Current students that aren't going to get playing time if these guys come back and they committed to a school under the assumption that these guys wouldn't be blocking them from PT Quote

Ever since the COVID crap, there have been extra years given all over the place blocking kids from getting playing time. Not to mention the revolving door NIL/transfer portal system they created that has harmed equally as many if not more players. The Class of 2022 has been in the middle of it all and has probably been harmed the most. Apparently Charlie Baker released a statement about the lawsuit and continued to push Congress to pass the Protect College Sports Act. They believe this lawsuit and the steadfast chaos with the 5in5 rule may be the NCAA's last ditch effort to get that passed. Weaponizing this rule to pass that is gross but the NCAA isn't above such low-level behavior. Edited 6 hours ago by Let'sGoZips94 1 Quote

I was referring to the suits with and behind the NCAA and their financial enrichment that likely comes on the back end of blowing millions on legal fees to fight this. Quote
