As for Tyrell, seems like it was just yesterday he was shot down for the YSU job.  He's had a rough season this year, going 3-6 and losing the Feister brothers and some other talent.  We'll see how they do in the playoffs.

Timing is everything.

A 3-6 team making the playoffs is punishment for a bad season.

Oddly, they could still go deep in the region, even with that poor record.  They played a brutal schedule and were young.

They should be at home this week.

I definitely see them going deep.

They had a heavy national schedule this season

out of curiosity, how loud was the PA system at Kent (compared to Akron?) Asking for a grandpa friend..

It was great. No woman screaming for 4 straight minutes at every stoppage. I forgot what it was like to be able to talk to the person next to me during a break.

Or between every play. At the last Wake Forest vs Stanford game I went to, the referee had to stop the game and tell the score board operator to stop playing music after the play clock started. I think college athletics are run and populated by total morons.

Oh well, at least I'm not made nauseated by how loud the music is. They seem to have gotten that under control.

Not that it really matters but lordy their video screen is terrible too.

It's definitely old as well.  The stadium, though, had a weird charm like a mix between a HS stadium and a NASCAR track.  I did not mind the place at all.  It's absolutely adequate for Kent and I wish the Rubber Bowl weren't so dilapidated so that we didn't have this albatross of a stadium around our beck.

You must sit nearer the speakers than I do; I don't have that trouble.

I think Goodrich has done excellent work with all the gameday ops.  Absolutely excellent.

Honestly, these next three games with dozens of people there will be a good opportunity to try whatever they can find.

i didn't really have any complaints at kent. i had never been there before so i didn't know what to expect. i tailgated with friends and family before and went in about 20 minutes before kickoff. i had GA seating and thought it would be easy to find seats so i wasn't worried. Walked in and found out visiting side was all student section and right where i was around the 50 was reserved. the GA seating in the middle was already full so like an idiot i chose to go go to the empty GA seating opposite of the scoreboard thinking i would be able to see the scoreboard and would be fine.

the actual replays when they should was very small for me being old. i wish i would have chose the other end but you live and learn.

i have been to every game. i do like the home field the best i wish there were more fans obviously and we have talked about that.

wake forest was BANGIN !!! sat by the scoreboard and it was loud as hell but the energy and excitement was incredible it would be amazing to see that here but i probably won't.

minnesota was my first Big 10 school other penn state and it was comparable to that but it was still fun with no complaints. personally wake forest was my favorite.

the only woman i heard at kent was the old woman screaming start the buses bitches after the unexpected fake punt.

other than we were mixed in with kent fans and had no issues.

it wasn't a bad experience and the rivalries are fun especially when they are competitive.

unfortunately Akron is on the wrong side now and in football can't talk crap anymore til they win

Well... Sacramento State kicked the snot out of the team that beat the Zips by 15 last week.  🙄

Yup. Sac State has double the wins as us. On the bright side, Tim Albin may become available.
