My biggest complaint about NET is it doesn't take into account things like injuries. For example any team that beat Buffalo in December and January beat a pretty good mid-major team. With Frietag out UB was objectively below average to bad mid-major. In the eyes of the metric it views December UB being equal to late February UB, but in reality those teams are night and day different.

The biggest problem with the net is that Kent on the road was borderline Q2 or Q3 all year. We beat them so bad on the road that it dropped them down and they were never able to recover enough for that win to make it a Q2 win for us

I think they had to defend that play straight up because if the ball gets into Tavari’s hands a floater or lay up wins it just the same.

Toledo played well the last 2-3 weeks of the regular season as well. I actually predicted they would knock off Miami and make the final. Obviously UMass beat them to the punch. Their NET is in the 130s because they frankly weren't very good November thru early February. Predictive metrics don't account for that.

Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but Akron's 7 MAC Championships now tie them with Ohio, Kent State, and Ball State for the most all-time among MAC schools.

2 teams in the finals in the same day to boot. For what is considered to be the class of the MAC athletically, really poor showing from the Rocket faithful. Probably says more about their confidence in Kowalchoke than anything.
