  1. Past hour
  2. Henderson posted a video on his IG story a week or so ago working out at our practice facility, so I am assuming he stayed.
  3. Following the previous coach who essentially ignored the state of Indiana for any type of recruiting, this is a welcomed addition by the Balls faithful I'd imagine.
  4. Hard to get a read on if this is a good pickup or not. On one hand he only played in garbage time. On the other hand Purdue was loaded so the fact he was burried on the depth chart doesn't necessarily mean he isn't good.
  5. That's news. My guess is the two guards stayed committed while the Vegas kid decommitted. Were Perkins & Henderson in attendance?
  6. 4 spots remain.
  7. Well, the name of the guy who committed this morning was actively out there while Dustin said he couldn't ID today's visit. That's a pretty strong indicator they're different players. I think it is promising Eric was there and disappointing and telling Sharron was not. Players I saw were Zach, Marvin, Chabi, Cody Head and two of the 3 red-shirts. I heard that 2 of 3 freshman commits have stayed committed while one decommitted, though I can't identify which.
  8. Realistically, I need to wait until we see the full roster. But I'm just gonna say that if we keep Eric, we're winning the MAC again. 😅
  9. Are you able to confirm or deny if this player is separate from this morning's earlier commit?
  10. Not to mention these type of events really appeal to upper middle class and the wealthy. Even if the event itself doesn't make program changing money, perhaps the relationship building leads to more premium tickets getting sold or corporate sponsors.
  11. I thought Covid had killed it, but based on the question, it sounded like it had been longer than that. They said it had been since the Dambrot days.
  12. I didn't realize they stopped doing the golf outing. Not doing a golf outing at the peak of golf popularity is certainly a choice.
  13. I would imagine this is exactly what we can expect soon.
  14. Golf outing seems like a great way of attracting new people or re-engaging some who had interest before, but lost interest. It's pretty easy to get a friend or associate who enjoys golf to be your 4th to fill our your scramble. Also, maybe a way of attracting some more local business to get more involved.
  15. Today
  16. Obviously doesn't mean Eric is staying, but it's good to hear and I hope it means he is considering returning. Were any other past or current players in attendance?
  17. It does already seem Dustin has tried to be more engaging with fans on social media compared to Groce. Another sign is starting the golf event back up.
  18. Maybe that's the recruit who will be on campus and is personally being recruited by Dustin.
  19. His presence I'm not sure indicates much either way. Antino I remember attended Groce's press conference and then still transferred elsewhere.
  20. Why is it so hard for us to do something like this? Maybe it can happen now that we have BSN as part of the deal. https://bsnteamsports.com/shop/YSUNK226
  21. Keeping Eric would be huge.
  22. This came off from a very direct question from Jim Clark, long time Akron radio broadcaster. "I was at the championship game against toledo, 12k fans and maybe 10k were akron fans. How do we get them to come out on a Tuesday night against Eastern Michigan". Its nice to hear the stuff we discuss about in here ad nauseam being brought up in public
  23. September 21st I believe is the date they said.
  24. Ford mentioned the program needing to do a better job of making meaningful connections to the community. They also said they'll be having a golf outing again.
  25. Max Burton was primarily used as a play-finisher and rim-runner, while also contributing as a rebounder and interior defensive presence. Given his 20+ MPG, he projects as a high-impact role player at Akron. I'm guessing he will likely be asked to fill a similar role by setting screens, running to the rim, finishing efficiently, rebounding, and defending.
