pretty crazy developments today. He threw it all away.
-
Good day for the SOS. (Ignore EMU)
-
UMass made 2 free throws with 5 seconds to go to win 76-74. Nice win for the MAC.
- Today
-
Iona is now 8-3 after beating Bryant.
-
And the UMass lead is gone
-
That's good for UMass, but Boston College is pretty much a mid-major masquerading as a P5.
-
Miami OH held on to win in OT 90-87. Impressive win (not). UMass is currently battling Boston College on ESPNU. Up by 12 with 11 min to go.
-
Sherrone has been detained by the police. Allegedly was threatening self harm, breaking and entering, etc.

If big time college football has taught us anything in recent years, getting fired under the right circumstances creates life changing wealth. Moore blew tens of millions of dollars just because he couldn't control himself. He could have the pick of hundreds of women who don't work at the school. Freaking unbelievable. What an idiot. Rumor has it the coach at OU was banging a nursing student.

A good coach can be made great by a supportive program. A good coach can be destroyed by a program that doesn't really support their football program in a meaningful way. Anyone want to guess which is Akron and which is Toledo? This guy will do well at Toledo because he is at a premium MAC program. He will be made better than he is now because the people around him will help him get to where he needs to be.

Best thing that could've happened to Michigan football.

Michigan fired Sherrone for cause. Rumors on the internet is he had an affair with someone on staff and knocked them up. Time will tell if accurate. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2025/12/10/michigan-football-sherrone-moore-scandal-fired-for-cause-violation-university/87707335007/

Everyone knows that Trinity, IU East, and Milligan are tough. Not to mention Maine and Mercyhurst.

They were getting destroyed for their SOS in a post showcasing them as the #4 team in the Mid Major Top 25. Some Miami OH fan tried to defend the program by saying they had the 3rd toughest OOC on paper prior to the season, and they can't control what happens to other teams once the season starts. As you can imagine after looking at their OOC, the fan's defense was met with laughter. Old Dominion Trinity (IL) Air Force Mercyhurst AR-Pine Bluff UNC Greensboro IU East Maine UNC Asheville Eastern Kentucky Wright State Milligan UNC Asheville is only a Q3 opponent because it's on the road with a 200 NET ranking. Their 5 losses are to Wichita State, Georgia Southern, Western Carolina, Tennessee State, and NC State. They have wins over Lipscomb, Bryan (TN), App State, and UNC Greensboro. Decent chance this is ultimately a Q4 game for Miami (OH) come season's end. This is only the 3rd team on the Redhawks' schedule in the top 300 for NET, with one UNC Greensboro being borderline at 291. Interestingly enough, they start MAC play with Balls on the 20th, then play @ BUGS and home vs. Akron in back to back games which are currently both Q2 opportunities (you're welcome, Sweaters). We'll quickly see if the creampuff schedule has Little Brother's Squad prepared for the MAC which is seemingly much improved.

Laventure to the portal. -
Kinda sad that their toughest matchup so far is against a 4-5 team.
-
8-0 Miami plays UNC Ashville tonight which will be their very first quad 3 game of the year. With only 2 Q3 games in their OOC, they may be the first MAC team who's strength of schedule actually increases when MAC play begins.

Very impressive track record for new Toledo Head Coach. Would a guy like this accept the Akron job? On one hand, I could see him taking it because it’s a D1 job, but on the other hand, I could see him not taking it because you are set up to fail. What do you think? https://utrockets.com/news/2025/12/10/mike-jacobs-named-head-football-coach-at-toledo

MAC had two 2nd team all Americans. LB Red Murdock of Buffalo and S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.
