  3. At hey, at least there won't be any more Friday night games!!!
  4. I can speculate, assume, reason, and guess that Coach Ford isn't going to be pushed around by the players and agents. He recruited over Sherron.
  5. I peaked at the WKU message board and they were posting about a week ago about Young joining so it must have been a deal that was done for several days, but they were ironing out the details. The person who posted about it said CoC and Marshall were the other two serious bidders.
  6. Hey maybe it came down to Sharron vs Tahj vs the same amount Loyalty goes both ways these days I suppose
  7. WKU is a program many around the MAC for years have coveted for expansion, specifically because of the quality of their basketball program, historically. Guessing their NIL is competitive with MAC teams, just a ??? of which positions they want/need to spend it.
  8. Sharron was one of my favorite Zips, but an undersized guard like him has to be able to shoot at a better rate than 40/33 to earn a starting gig on a championship-caliber team. He did it as a freshman, so he can absolutely be that guy, but maybe his ask didn't match what he has proven to be to this point. I wish him the best - he seems like a good kid.
  9. Odd to me as well. I liked what Sharron did while he was here and liked his potential. Time will tell whether we got/kept the better guy or not.
  10. WKU must have some serious NIL money. Tops? LOL.
  11. I think it's a bit telling that Groce didn't make a strong play for him. After all if the rumors are true about CoC NIL they should be able to outbid WKU. Edit: I think WKU followed him higher than Akron/CoC thought his market value was.
  12. Sharron to Western Kentucky. They must have some serious NIL money because that's not an improvement in program.
  13. From folks inside the program I heard that they wanted Eric but feared they couldn't afford him, which was true. He ended up better on all counts. As regards Sharon they felt they had better talent coming in and coming up from redshirt. They wanted to keep him but were not going to pay much. Personally I hate losing him because I liked his grit. According to the people I talked with he was never assured he would start.
  14. I said before Eric was always going to have a bigger demand than Sharron. There are tons of talented 6' tall guys in the portal. I assume we probably could have matched whatever WKU offered, but preferred spreading the money throughout the roster instead.
  15. Not with the 3 star kid coming in from K-State. Good trade off
  16. Hard to believe their offer was much larger than ours. He was going to be the starting PG here. Very sad outcome. Wish him the best I guess but this one hurts
  17. Sharron to Western Kentucky Wtf

  19. Behind a paywall so can't read the full article, but thought I'd share. https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/college/zips/2026/04/16/exavier-wilson-akron-zips-mens-basketball-ncaa-transfer-portal/89647253007/
  20. Queue complaining about a spring practice that they most likely weren't going to attend anyway 🙄
  21. On IG he goes by Zay but Ex works too!! Love this pick-up - favorite one so far, no time on task but was heavily recruited in HS makes me think he has intangibles like SY
  22. Just the state of the internet nowadays. People will complain about EVERYTHING. It's exhausting.
  23. Some info on Exavier Wilson- K-State’s lone domestic prep signee in the 2025 class, Wilson redshirted his first season with the Wildcats. A consensus three-star prospect, Wilson was ranked as the No. 10 overall player in Missouri by 247Sports. https://www.kstatesports.com/news/2025/9/24/mens-basketball-five-things-to-know-exavier-wilson
  24. With Staveskie and Wilson inbound and Head and Perkins (as far as we know) returning, we look pretty solid in the backcourt. Ideally we would add a wing and/or stretch 4-type.
