Thanks for posting. I think it's even more than the money. Mark Cuban just isn't rich. He has a deep understanding of how to structure complex organizations, including an NBA team. This experience no only allows one to spend a lot, but spend wisely. Indiana was an example of spending wisely. Many will try to copy, but since few have actual experience doing it they will fail. A car dealership isn't exactly Dell or an NBA team or Nike.

Looks like Nick Saban agrees with you.

My thoughts exactly. It seems like for every $1 of extra revenue there is $1.50 in extra expenses. More money has flowed into college football, even at the mid-major level, but the deficits seem larger than ever. Coaching salaries, facility upgrades, etc. seem to outpace revenue growth.

Something tells me they will spend it faster than they bring it in.

I feel as long as we hold our own (not necessarily win) the rebounding battle we will win comfortably. If Kent out rebounds us by 10-15 then those extra possessions can keep them around.
-
I would say that if all of their MAC games are close and all of ours (other than the loss) are not, that kinda indicates it might not be that competitive. But rivalry games don't always follow the script!

We'll run them out of the gym

All of their MAC games have been decided by 10 or less. Next Friday is going to be fun.

Labor day weekend. Head towards your beach of choice after we get the W.

Even if the rich get richer, I think it's good for us in general because it is another potential revenue source. Any opportunity to push us from the red more towards the black is great.

With 1:27 to play, Kent up 58-56 over Eastern.

ABJ coverage Lyles compiled his fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Sharron Young added 11 points for the Zips. Lyles has scored in double figures in 15 consecutive games, becoming the first Akron player to do so since Enrique Freeman during the 2023-24 season.

Somehow that escaped the conversation.

They discussed why Akron is 59 in Kenpom and Miami is 88?

CBS has a triple header today, with Wally Szczerbiak as a commentator. Guess what is a big topic of conversation.

Lady Redhawks trounce Ball State 72-53 in Muncie. Miami now 8-0 in MAC and in first place. First win in Muncie since 1998. Great win for third year coach and former Zips assistant Glenn Box.

I lost my pepper long ago. 😂

Actually, i have a beautiful salt and pepper head of hair. But thanks for caring.

If Balls can get going, they're going to make that 7/8 seed race very messy. The MAC is very much improved this year, but the separation between the top 3-4 and the rest of the conference is as vast as it has been since the Oats Buffalo days.

I'm more concerned with his mom!

But what are they gonna do with the other 1,000 shirts? 😆
