Boswell hitting the portal... -
I'm not questioning they are favorites in any particular game, but odds are they still lose at least 1 game. No MAC team has gone undefeated in conference play since 1958, which was ironically Miami who went 12-0. In that time between then and now we've seen some terrific teams Wally Miami, Kent State Elite 8, Buffalo a few years back to name a few. They all had at least 1 loss and frankly they would all be heavy favorites over this years Miami team. If the MAC was as bad as it was last year I would think the possibility would be greater, but this year there are plenty of MAC teams capable of sneaking up on you. EMU beat Cincy, BG knocked off Kansas State, UMass beat 2 P4, and even Ohio knocked off a fairly good St. Bonaventure. Edit: I want to be clear my comment wasn't meant to be a knock to Miami. I feel their start is better than many are giving them credit for. I understand their SOS is very weak, but it's more challenging to consistently win games you're expected to than what people give it credit for. Look at Akron as a prime example. 3 out of our 4 losses we entered into the game as the Vegas favorite, but lost.

Am I wrong for thinking it isn't that crazy to think Miami could enter the MAC Tournament undefeated? vs Buffalo at Kent vs UMass vs NIU at Buffalo at Marshall vs Ohio at UMass vs BGSU at EMU at WMU vs Toledo at Ohio Not having to come to the JAR and only playing Kent once (although at Kent) gives them a favorable road to Cleveland.

That would still be an improvement over our teams from past years, considering we've lost to OU 7 straight times including by 21 last time we played. -
St Thomas is #1 and unfortunately tied with Travis as well for 2nd.
-
After doing some research I believe we are actually tied with Duke for the longest home win streak, they haven't lost at cameron since their final home game against UNC in 2024. Same timeline for us except our loss was against Eastern Michigan 😑

Durham DID NOT enter the portal. He announced that he was entering, but he never officially signed or withdrew. You can come up with your own reasoning, but he is still on the team and NOT in the portal. -
I believe when you lose to someone like that, it needs to be in quotation marks (e.g., "Northwood") 😂
-
Yes to northwood
-
I was told they are legit
-
Hopefully, Sharron can get back before the road trip but he looked to be in a lot of pain.
-
BG has always been on fraud watch 😆
-
Agree with everyone else. Two home games in a row with garbage endings. I swear with less than 3 minutes left the away basket expands and every junk 3 goes through the hoop. Fun Fact: Ball State only lost by 9 to Miami. Albeit, at home.
-
They lost a buy game too didn’t they?

WMU comes to Akron Saturday for a 2:00 tilt against the Zips. The Broncos come in at 7-10 fresh off of a 3 point loss to UMASS. They are 1-4 in the MAC with their only win coming against EMU. 5'10" junior guard JUCO transfer Jalen Griffin leads WMU in scoring at 15.5 ppg. 6'4" senior guard, Robert Morris transfer, Justice Williams is second in scoring at 13.7 ppg. Jayden Brewer, a 6'6" senior guard, leads the team in rebounding at 7.6 rpg while being their third leading scorer at 13.3 ppg.

Effort is fixable though, talent is not.
-
Should be a Kent win. Empathize SHOULD. Lol
-
Pretty good game Friday night with Toledo vs Kent
-
I’ve been asked how this team compares to others since I started watching and I say we are as talented as any of them. But the effort might be the worse. Just sucks effort is our vice. So frustrating and I fear it’ll bite us hard against someone we can’t lose too
-
Exactly. This team's propensity to let up with a big lead is maddening. Don't let up on the gas. It would be different if this happened with backups in the game late but it's happening with our vets on the floor.
