Actually, the last game is on Friday. I think the day after Thanksgiving can be a good opportunity for fans who have the day off and need to get out of the house after a busy Thanksgiving. If I lived in NE Ohio, I think an early afternoon start could lend itself to a potentially nice day outside and maybe eating a nice dinner out after being in all day the day before. Everything I just posted makes sense, which makes me think the MAC will schedule the game when it is most likely rain during the fall, in the evening, so I predict the game will start at 8 PM.

Which best describes your feelings on the MAC scheduling model?

I'd like to see what the dollars look like if you just go to the Saturday model. Also wondering if some of these FAST channels and such wouldn't be able to bid for content in that regard. It seems the MAC is starting to think a little outside the box, so I wonder if there's something to be done there. The dollars WOULD be less, I'm sure. But how much less? What would attendance do for the MAC football schools if you didn't have these midweek games? That's the key part...can that be made up by greater attendance throughout? -
If Groce doesn't get offered the Butler job I expect him to commit to Akron and get to work on putting together next year's team. You never know the intentions of another person, but I think Butler is a unique opportunity in that it is close to home for him, a place he coached previously and is familiar with, and is still in the Midwest, where he has spent his entire coaching career.

You don't have to get a NCAA Tournament win to get a P4 job. This offseason we've seen Casey Alexander take Kansas State job, McNamara get the Syracuse job, and Byran Hodgson take Providence job. None of them have an NCAA tournament win. In fact, with so much fewer mid-majors winning tournament games these days there is going to be fewer opportunities for P4 schools to hire the candidate that you described.

Randy Bennett probably took St. Mary's as far as he could. I'm not sure if you've seen them play outside of the tournament, but they play in what looks like a high school gym and he built them into a consistent at-large caliber program. I don't think ASU made that hire looking long-term. Probably more to right the ship and fix the culture mess that Hurley left behind. Perhaps making the job more attractive in 3-5 years for whoever they pivot to in the future.

No shade intended, but what a world we live in when a women’s college basketball player like Izzy Callaway has an agent.
