Bad day for this to happen as tomorrow is signing day. I'm still seeing recruits tweeting that they'll be signing with OU tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Sorry I posted the wrong link and now can’t find the correct link.

That link says nothing about it?

NIU is in mid-season form, down by 20 at the half to Lindenwood.

Tulane is tied with grambling 6-6 over 8 mins into the game. What a blazing start

According to this, Iowa's athletics lose money.
-
At the P4 level it's driven by delusions of grandeur by ADs and University presidents. Not everyone can be an Alabama or OSU. I imagine it's programs like Iowa who understand this that are doing well financially.
-
The only reason these numbers are being reported is because it involves Deion. All but ~10-15 programs are subsidized by other avenues of revenue.

Financially they escaped the deal without eating too much money. I thought it was a dumb firing when it happened. It would have only made sense if they had an Urban Meyer or Nick Saban lined up to take the job. Virginia Tech was the real winners there.
-
I assume not anymore with BYU’s coach getting paid. The PSU situation is a disaster (which I personally enjoy). Ohio’s coaching situation is looking pretty juicy as well…curious what’s going on there.
-
It doesn't help they have the highest paid coach in the Big 12 despite him only having a 16-21 record...

100%. Im still waiting on the day ESPN reports on the declining graduation rate from all the transferring and acts like no one saw this coming.

College football is an unsustainable, dying entity in its current form.

It's a 4 year rolling average. I read up on it awhile ago and shared links to the website that lists all the APR scores when the news first broke. One of the years was laughably low and would make it near impossible to be compliant next season. I think that's the score that disappears at the end of next year.

S/o Vandy!! They deserve to be in the playoffs. My wife's alma mater and our cities home team.

Tracking Roster Movement going into 2026

Thought he showed potential, but it seemed clear he was on the staff’s bad side for reasons I am sure were legitimate. Think he’ll end up transferring down. -

I thought he was done, but maybe not. Either way it's time to let him go with no chance of return. We need players who want to be here. -
I’m pretty sure that was my takeaway when the news/numbers first came out. I believe they use some sort of rolling average and my thought at the time was we could get it up for next season, but we’d need close to a miracle. Understand we have money concerns, but I agree with Clark the time to fight it would be been when it was first announced. One less practice a week is a big deal, especially when we might be looking at dealing with it for 3 years (last year, this year, and next year). That’s a lot of lost development.
-
Wait... we're still going to be ineligible next year?
-
We'll never know but it remains a bad look that the Zips were the only one. It was also time to stand up when it came down rather than essentially concede and push it back a year.
-
Akron should find another 5-7 team to play a game in Hawaii or Alaska to get to 6 wins and push for bowl eligibility, or just call the 13th game the bowl game.
