  1. Today
  2. Zips all the way up to #3 in this week's coaches poll! https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-di-men/
  3. Doesn't mean we can't hate on them for scheduling Lorain County Community College when they do
  4. OU just beat West VA a $284 million dollar program, thats ranked 53rd out of 68 Power Five schools. It amazes me how yall basically crap on our own Conference looking and judging everything at face value which is whats exactly wrong with our program and pathetic fanbase. If yall think like losers = we will continue to be losers.
  5. I knew it's been a struggle against WMU recently but I didn't realize it was that bad. Gotta have a win tonight!
  6. Chad Wiseman, the Western Michigan coach, has an outstanding record against the Zips. Every soccer game is a challenge. The zips can not afford to being looking ahead to their top 10 matchup on Saturday. Chad Wiseman knows how to prepare for the Akron offensive game plan. The Zips owe a ton of payback to the Broncos. From 2019 to 2024, the Zips and the Broncos have played 8 games. In those 8 games, our beloved Zips have exactly one win. Let's look at the facts : 2019 1-1 tie 2020 teams played twice 0-0 draw 4-3 Western Michigan win 2021 4-3 Western Michigan win in overtime 2022 teams played 3 times 1-0 Zips win in first regular season meeting 1-1 tie in 2nd regular season meeting 2-1 Western Michigan win in conference tournament 2024 1-1 tie Since the beginning of 2019, the zips have a 1-3-4 record against the Broncos. On paper, the Zips are playing well...and this is a home game. Games are not played on paper. Zips need to come out focused and step on the Bronco's neck. Go, Zips
  7. UAZipster0305,I think you can modify the subject as well......If you go to your first post, click edit on your first post....that should allow you to modify either what you wrote in the first post or also modify the subject.
  8. Pre- and post-NIL are completely different worlds though. Now it is more analogous to amateurs (OU) versus professionals (OSU).
  9. Moderator, please correct...it's actually game number six. Please delete.
  10. Any concerns about today's match? WMU is 1-4-0 and seems to be in a down cycle for their program, which was close to tops in the country only a year or so back. My prediction, Zips 3-0...the shutout streak continues.
  11. You are the pure definition of a Sheep And yes I will bet against the spread.
  12. Michigan wasn't the defending national champion, coming off a win against the preseason #1 team in the country, and had the #1 ranking at the time of playing. That was a very mid-Michigan team who finished the season 7-6. This OSU team would boat race that Michigan. If you're so confident that OU can hang with OSU then go ahead and speak with your wallet. Place a sizable bet on the moneyline for OU. You won't though because you're all talk and know deep down OSU will win by a minimum of 3 TDs.
  13. I swear yall casuals are something else 2013 Michigan vs. Akron football game spread had Michigan as a heavy favorite, with a 35.5-point spread at kickoff. The final score was Michigan 28, Akron 24. Final play of the game we had a chance to win. I bet back then casual like you was mad we even showed up.
  14. Sounds like delusions of grandeur
  15. OU is great within the MAC, which is nowhere near competing with OSU on their own field, especially post-NIL. I predict OSU will win by about four TD's and the game will essentially be over shortly into the 3rd quarter, if not earlier.
  16. The Difference is they are a great consistent football program with a great fanbase who believes they should be on the field with Ohio State.
  17. No. When the backups are playing, they're working on stuff the coach wants them to work on.
  18. Did anyone else think that it was shitty that Nebraska was still throwing the ball well into the 4th quarter? Just saw a clip that Rhule was pissed that Akron moved the ball before half and didn’t take a knee.
  19. Besides the Zips, no public Ohio gridiron football team has gone to Columbus and came home with a win. Granted, we did it when John Heisman was coach, but the fact remains. This weekend will be no different. Ohio is a good MAC team that is light years away from competing with Ohio State for four quarters.
  20. The Big East did not have a good night on Monday September 8th. St. John's had looked very strong this year. In their last 2 games, St. John's had tied highly ranked Wake Forest and they had tied an outstanding Marshall team. Against, Marshall, St. John's led Marshall in shots, shots on goal and in corner kicks. Tonight, St. John's played host to Rhode Island. Rhode Island came into the game with an 0-3-1 record. In their last game , Rhode Island suffered a 3-0 beatdown to Albany, Tonight, Rhode Island defeated St. John's by a 2-1 score. Army was at home and they shut out Villanova . A 2-0 win for Army. 10th ranked Pitt scored 4 against Butler in a 4-1 win. Tuesday night is a big night for opponent strength of Schedule for the Zips. VCU plays at highly ranked Clemson 6 pm Vermont hosts Dartmouth 6 pm Louisville plays at Ohio State 7 pm last Friday, Louisville upset Stanford 1-0 (Stanford was ranked number 1 at the time of the loss) as much as zips fans dislike OSU, a Buckeye win over the Cardinals will help the zips in RPI James Madison will play at Georgetown 7 pm Northern Kentucky will play at Bellarmine 7 pm Bellarmine had a 3-1 win over Xavier earlier in the year.
  21. Congratulations to Mitch Budler A well deserved Honor.... Zips fans are fortunate to get to watch a fantastic GK every game.
