Poor guy never even got a basketball bobblehead. On that note, I still have some Matthew Wilson bobbleheads available at a great price!3 points

I literally bruised my hand from clapping so much at that game, then had to play through the pain the next night vs KSUcks. First time that has ever happened!3 points

Finally found a replay of this game. This might have been my favorite Akron game to have ever seen in person. Electric atmosphere3 points

He is the permanent president, I don't think they could've handled another year long search process lol Two time UA graduate, that already is a good start2 points

Brings a new dynamic to AD Guthrie's job, who was hand-picked by Gary. Will be interesting to see what changes happen to athletics in the near term, if any.1 point

I talked to Dr. Miller and his wife two years in a row at an alumni event the city where I live. Both are wonderfully nice people. Best wishes to them in the next phase of their life together. Dr. Miller had a good five years. He marshalled the University through difficult financial times. He also went out of his way to reach all parts of the University community. I loved the Good News With Gary monthly videos. Five years is enough for an executive at that level. Now that the hard cuts are made, bring someone in n with a different perspective to continue to move the University forward.1 point

it's a great idea imo, but even dumber to think anyone in the P4 would ever agree to it1 point

There were a number of Akron fans sitting right behind the OU band. By the end of that game, I'm sure they really hated us.1 point

That was a fast search process. They authorized the search and then named the new president 45 seconds later.1 point

I agree. Let's say Toledo got promoted this year. What's compelling about going to the Big 10 only to go 1-8 or 0-9 in conference play and be relegated back down? Even long-time Big 10 schools with much more institutional support than any MAC school are losing to OSU or UM by 3-4+ TDs. MAC schools, even with the additional TV revenue, wouldn't have the means to compete in the Big 10.1 point

Like Dr. Frankenstein, it's dying at the hands of the monster it created.1 point

More pansy 💩 from Power Conference teams, this time from 4-8 Wake Forest. 1-7 in conference so I'm not sure where Clawson gets off on feeling superior to most G5s.1 point

UA needs to do something to combat this stigma of UA being unsafe. I don't know how the university would go about it, but OSU and UC have the same exact problems, people often don't think of that first when talking about those schools. Everywhere in the country has "crime", the urban centers just have more people for more police reports. If UC can get to 50k enrollment, there is no reason that UA can't get back to at least half that number1 point

Tried to watch Freeman but the ESPN coverage was a joke. When Bronny was on the court the camera was on him and his dad. When he came out, they cut away from the game with interviews and graphics. Unfortunately, Freeman was not in at the same time as Bronny so only saw a few glimpses of him playing. Pretty much a waste of time.0 points
