  1. It's no different than Mel Kiper and the NFL Draft. If he was half as good at evaluating talent and projecting where players will go in the draft as ESPN claims he is, some NFL team would have hired him for millions of dollars years ago. Your personality and the way you're able to communicate your point is more important to ESPN than how accurate you are.
  2. FTFY Last year a study was done and it discovered Lunardi is one of the least accurate bracketologists out there.
  3. Agree. Flying out to Salt Lake and playing an opponent like Duke, who who will drive up ticket prices, would cost me more than what I'd be willing to spend. Give me Xavier or Saint Mary's in Buffalo and that would be a game well within my budget.
  4. Robotham has been quiet since he had that hot stretch in December. I think he gets hot from behind the arc and drops 17 to lead all Zips scorers.
  5. Yeah, TBH I don't know why they waited until half-time to hand them out. Why couldn't we just pick them up before the start of the game to beat the rush? We're season ticket holders. Not like we will take it then turn around and walk out the door.
  6. Hate to see a player miss his senior year. Wish him a good recovery and a successful career someplace overseas.
  7. Do 800 people really attend WBB game or is that number heavily inflated? I haven't been to a WBB game since probably the 08-09 season.
  8. Whenever someone, including you or I, takes the initiative to start it. I've seen game threads created weeks in advance or within 24 hours of tip-off.
  9. Seemed like they almost had a little too much going on (a first I know). I went and picked my mug up at half-time and missed all but the last dunk from the TNT Squad.
  10. I agree 100%. The band was the only students that I saw standing and turned when opposing players were announced. I wonder how many of the students that did show up this was their 1st or 2nd game attending. I'm not sure if they were aware or just didn't care enough, but they didn't even stay standing until the Zips 1st bucket.
  11. The students actually showed up to this game (in numbers that is). I'd say the student section looked 70% full from where I was sitting and that doesn't count the students that like to sit in the general admission sections. The problem was the students and crowd in general showed a lack of energy. The only real time I noticed the arena erupting was when Pokie blocked it and it led to an alley oop dunk on the end.
  12. Akron beat Ohio therefore we are all winners! Great day to be a Zip.
  13. TDM has some sort of eye infection. According to Dambrot he is pretty much playing with vision in 1 eye. Hughes is having some sort of back trouble. From the sounds of it, it isn't anything severe. It is just a discomfort that is impacting his mobility and play.
  14. Dambrot is on record as saying the reason TDM hasn't played more is because he hasn't been healthy enough to practice. Once his eye fully heals and he is able to practice daily (if he isn't already there now) he should expect an uptick in his minutes.
  15. I'm going to venture to guess Antonio Campbell won't play considering he was seen in a walking boot. I know as a Zips fan I wouldn't want us rushing Big Dog back from injury for fear he would re-injure and not be able to play when games matter the most come March. Beating Ohio at home without their returning MAC POY should be expected out of us. I would take nothing out of that game if we were to win by 2 or 20. Edit: I honestly do think we are the best team in the MAC. We've at times allowed teams to hang around too long, but we have had various players step up for us down the stretch to squeeze out victories. We need to start playing a full 40 minutes instead of only stepping up the intensity when our back is against the wall. Getting Hughes and Martin back healthy would be a start.
  16. Has anyone heard what round "experts" have him going?
  17. At the half when Big Dog had 3 points and the Zips had 9 3s made, I thought I was a lock to get all 3 right assuming the Zips won. I was wrong...
  18. What I'm interested to see is if more teams begin to front Big Dog in an attempt to deny him an entry pass. Got to give it to Miami. They found a way of limiting Big Dog.
  19. And we still managed to win at a place we haven't won at since 2012. It doesn't matter to me how we win as long as we keep winning.
  20. If Hughes could get back to being healthy, that would be great.
  21. Let's play some D and protect the ball.
  22. 10 turnovers and 3/8 from the charity stripe is the only reason this is a game right now.
  23. And Kwan is now in the game ???
  24. Correct. I say WMU wins more games. You have Akron winning more games. PS: This is 1 bet I actually hope to lose.
  25. I'd be willing to wager a $60 donation to the Z-Fund (value of 1 season ticket).
