Well at least now we don't have to look back thinking that the Miami game ruined our shot at an undefeated conference season. 🙂

Number one seed is still well in play. If the standings stay roughly the same and the Zips and Rockets end up tied, Zips will have the one seed because the Rockets lost to CMU.

Game over. Dang it, at least they made a gutty comeback.

Aren't good teams supposed to peak towards the end of the season? These last three games have been the worst the Zips have played all season.

Under 30% shooting and under 15% from three. We need the law of averages to even out.

And this is now borderline unwatchable. Ugh

If you were just watching this game with no other knowledge you would have no idea these were the two top teams in the conference.

All of the Rockets field goals have been 3-pointers. None of the Zips have.

That causes Freeman to get a foul. Grrr

They are going to have to buy out a CVS to buy enough deodorant for this one.

Maybe he's been really showing out in practice.

So about this Enrique Freeman kid...

Flushes drop into a tie for eighth,but still keep the 8th seed because of beating Ball St earlier in the year. Keep failing Flushes.

Winning percentage* vs. ranked conference teams (top to bottom, regardless of division, vs. common opponents regardless of the number of times played) Criteria A, Akron and Toledo had not played before Friday so no head to head record (Criteria B is the before mentioned no longer applicable division criteria). So dropping down to criteria C Akron is 0-0 against 3rd place CMU while Toledo is 0-1. Therefore ipso facto Akron should have been top seed according to the published MAC criteria. But the Zips fixed this injustice on Friday anyway. 😊

This was odd because the last published set of tiebreakers indicated two tied teams have head to head and then best record against the rest of the conference top to bottom. Toledo lost to third place CMU and Akron to 6th place Miami so Akron should have been top seed here. But it was released by the MAC who also have division tie breakers still included in those same procedures so take that for what it's worth. And for the moment it is all moot anyway.
