  1. FYI, Notorious DIG is up to his eyeballs in a big home renovation project. I'm sure he will be chipping in with his opinion as soon as his house is all back in one piece.
  2. How big is your arena?
  3. Yeah, I'm sure KD is burning up the phone lines to get advice from you all the time.
  4. Whatever. I trust my source.
  5. X-Box, Twitter, Playstation, Facebook, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, STO, Instagram, TWCSP, FXSOH...........Who needs to go to the game when they can watch on their 60" HDTV sitting on their couch and sipping a cold one.
  6. I see just the opposite. Most of Nicks problems are because he tries too hard to make a play. Most of his turnovers are from trying to do too much and he ends up losing the ball off the dribble. Quit trying to read something into his facial expressions, the kid gives everything he has to try and win.
  7. My father hated it. He didn't like that it took so long to clean up and delayed the start of the game.
  8. I vaguely remember doing that. Was it on the first made basket? When they banned it, wasn't that when the standing started?
  9. I thought KD did a good job of matching his lineup to take advantage of what the opponent gave him. KD started his most sure handed guys and his best three point shooter. To beat Eastern's zone you have to just keep passing the ball until you run them out of position. Bettencourt was effective because Eastern didn't pressure the ball. He was effective because all he had to do was keep quickly passing the ball around the perimeter until there was a hole to feed the post. Then post guy would either pass out to Kretzer for an open three if they collapsed or get a nice clean look if they didn't. After Kretzer hit all those threes to open the game it opened up the post even more. A great strategy against a 2-3 zone team. I would imagine that we will continue to see different lineups based on what our opponent dictates.
  10. I hate to keep repeating myself, but... http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?s=...st&p=211707
  11. Well then, quit gloating and start a CMU thread already!
  12. my source says he would be eligible. He took 18 credit hours in his last semester.
  13. That's nice, but the only people he has to prove anything to is himself and KD. If he is going to rejoin the team, it's not to benefit the team. It's to benefit himself. He has to decide that he really does want to do the things that will benefit him in the long run like finishing school and becoming a contributing member of society. He needs to figure out that the team doesn't need him as much as he needs to be part of the team. What happens in the next few months will show which way he wants to go. It's up to him.
  14. Check out Zekes big slam! Video
  15. Nothing but speculation by a sports writer.
  16. Jim Tressel.
  17. Livingston's story comes as no surprise to me. AA has remained close to the program. At the Cleveland state game he sitting in the seating section directly behind the bench and was warmly received by the players and administrators before tip off. If AA doesn't make a misstep I would fully expect him to be back on the team next season. I know there are people on this board who don't agree, but the main problem this year is no true point guard. Q is a great player who is doing his best to fill the void, but if AA was here no way does UT come into our gym and embarrass us. The whole chemistry of the team has been thrown out of whack.
  18. I think you can thank Brad Swanson for the increased attendance. His aggressive marketing campaigns the last 2 years (#zipsmensbasketball and BacktheZips) plus the increased outreach to the student body are paying dividends. Anyone who has been to a home game this season can attest to the fact that attendance is clearly up. Not just phantom tickets sold to groups at a discount who never show up(football) but actual butts in the seats. His use of social media is really working.
  19. The Back the Zips campaign idea was Brad Swanson's. I would imagine the little guy is just a Zips fan. They had all kinds of opportunity's for fans to have these photos taken before the season started.

  21. Coach can draw all the squiggly little lines he wants on that board, but it's up to the players to execute.
  22. Coach Peters stopped by practice this afternoon for a few minutes. He has started chemo and radiation treatments. The players were visibly pumped up by his presence. Please keep him in your prayers, he still has a tough battle ahead of him.
  23. Where do we rank in opponents shots / possessions per game?
  24. I agree with your assessment. McAdams is rushing his shot because we are a tick slow on all our passes. I was encouraged last night that Jake had 3 2pt field goals.
  25. I guess the reason I'm so stuck on the point guard play is because in the past that guy has been the leader on KD's teams. This years team is really lacking a leader on the court. During KD's tenure we had Dru then Steve and then Alex. Diggs seems to be trying at least.
