I haven't scouted Stanford, nor do I know much about them this year. However, based on two observations (5 ties and a lot of talk about their back line), my biggest question is about their attack. Last year, they had one or two really good forwards. What's their attack like this year?

According to Google, only the Queen hornets survive during the winter. Winter is the worker's & male's demise. 72-0 is my prediction based on this. The Yellow Jackets of Cedarville were acclimated to this weather being from Ohio, but the Hornets of the State of Alabama do not have such a bright future, I fear. Women's basketball would apparently be different though!

I even went back through to see if part of this was due to a couple 1-11/3-9 or so records in his first couple of years. Nope. 1-11 year 1. 5-7 the next two years including wins against Pitt, Toledo, a promising showing against Michigan, etc. 8-5 in year 4. Then 5-7, 7-7, and 4-7 (currently; most likely 4-8). Call it what you want - plateauing at best, regression at worst - but this program certainly has a cloudy future as it currently stands. Side note: when looking at the scores from Bowden's first couple of years, this offense was a lot more fun to watch back then.

I originally thought their actions were a bit "classless" (a word I'm getting annoyed of hearing after the Browns butt whooping of the Bengals), but then realized it's our job to stop them. I still don't like it and hope the team remembers it next year, but ultimately I don't blame them.

Beating Stanford would be salt in the wound for Wake Forest, as I'm sure they were licking their chops to get another crack at the team that has knocked them out of the tourney the past three years.

How could you hear any other words with that female commentator (she knew her stuff, though) constantly using "just" and "unbelievable"?

Are there any NCAA marketing rules for font size differential when marketing a game? Crank the ALABAMA up to 72 font, and make the "State" part as small as possible.

I know they are very shorthanded (injuries happen - we've been there), but this is going to be a good win at the end of the season. GREAT tournament.

If we shoot like this in the first half of these past 2 games, we're playing in the finals tonight.

And our pretty solid defense would be able to get 2 safeties. That's why I thought people were making a big deal about the score - 2 safeties would be pretty crazy.

Pretty sure I heard either Frenchy or the Facebook broadcast mention that they have several (maybe 3?) Preseason 1st-Team MVC players. Illinois State is no slouch, and is a couple years removed from an At-Large snub IIRC. That was a very respectable loss yesterday, just stinks we couldn't make a few more shots these past two days. St. Bonnie is an A10 team that has been a Giant Killer of sorts in recent years. They were a First Four team last year in the NCAAT, and beat UCLA before losing to Florida in the next round. This is yet another good test to see where this program is at. We reduced the turnovers from the Clemson game to the Illinois State game. Maybe we can reduce our missed shots from the Illinois State game to this game? Regardless, this is a fun team to watch with a lot of room left to grow, and a lot of season left to do so.
