A MAC football quiz 1. Name the last time (prior to this season) the team with the worst record in the MAC had two players selected to the all-conference first team. 2. Name the last time (prior to this season) a team with one conference win had two players selected to the all-conference first team.

Zips who rarely get to leave the bench for anything other than time outs may get valuable real game experience.

I think that if Buffalo really wanted to play this game they could have used a stadium located in a less snowy part of Canada.
-
Well said.
-
ESPN is now showing the game as postponed.

Not a good sign. woke up this morning and turned on the weather channel. First thing I see is Jim Cantore, the guy they always send to the worst weather in the country and he is in Buffalo.

Should give serious consideration to renaming this thread " what other schools Akron recruits are going to."

There is not much amazing about Falcon fans showing up in numbers to watch their team play at their nearby long-time hated rival's place. They did that when they were lousy. Now that they are competitive a little bad weather wasn't going to stop them from making the trip.

I did not see the game so I am not sure if the Zips were wearing blindfolds while shooting free throws or simply keeping their eyes closed. Either way, it worked.

A win is a win, but Dayton is dreadful this year.

Thank you. I saw your post before making my post. The problem with your post is that it did not recommend not trying to watch the game before it was being broadcast.
-
I also have Spectrum and they are showing that they do not plan on broadcasting the Akron EMU game until 7:00. Recommend you don't try tuning in until that time.
-
It would probably help attendance if we could get a ship this size into Infocision and advertise free tours.

You may not be the only person that doesn't bet on sports, but I'm pretty sure your the only person who lives at a bar that doesn't bet on sports. You can bet that I couldn't handle living at a bar; the lack of privacy would drive me crazy.

TIPOFF RECEPTION at the JAR ARENA - THURSDAY, NOV. 3 at 7 PM
Zipmeister replied to Akron1's topic in Akron Zips Basketball
There are worse D1 basketball facilities in the country, but not many. I don't think there is enough lipstick in the world to make this pig attractive. Plus, I hate its name because I was an Akron U student (no stigma attached to this name at the time) when Rhodes sent the National Guard into Kent State and I don't like being reminded of that creep. -
Whoever is in charge of loin girding for the Zips should be hard at work this weekend. The Jackrabbits are not the typical bunnies that teams invite to hop in for an easy early season win. Zips by 14. GO ZIPS.

I'm with you; making any more offers to high schoolers at this point is likely to be ineffective. I'm also thinking the probability of getting anyone on your list to sign with Akron is going down with each Zip loss. Add to that, the staff's heavy focus on the portal has to have a depressing effect on attracting high schoolers. Hopefully, the staff is spending more time trying to prevent decommits rather than obtaining more high school commitments.

Well if he is going to work out I certainly hope he has a change of clothes; he will get all sweaty in the outfit he is wearing in that photo.

Can you name the last Zip RB to start every game and never lose a yard for the entire season? Hint: happened when the Zips played in the Rubber Bowl.
