Now that's how you schedule for football
Zipmeister replied to ZachTheZip's topic in Akron Zips Football
And all the best to them thar Bulls. My point is with the exception of the last few years they were the doormat of the MAC, and the schedule they have may help speed their return to that status (although they will get there one way or another). -
Now that's how you schedule for football

I'm thinking Stony Brook could be one of the biggest trap games of all time. My thought a couple of years ago (expressed on this board) was that the Bulls were headed back to mediocrity as soon as Turner Gill left town, so watching their performance over the next couple of years should be insightful. -
Lol... zeitgeist. The movie laughed at and ignored by scholars, experts, or anyone with a high school education for that matter, but loved by morons on the internet. Anyone who allows their worldview to be changed by such ignorant babble is worse than the 6,000 year old earth people. The internet has everything man has to offer, from the very the best to the very worst. But, just as in real life, there's disagreement on which is which. When I was a kid, back in the good old days long before the internet, I read a book about flying saucers being real. I really believed that book, and wondered why the government was trying so hard to cover it all up. As I got older and learned more, I first began doubting the flying saucer book and ultimately rejected it. What it taught me is that it's possible for someone with good persuasive powers to convince a fair amount of people -- especially those who are skeptical of everything in the mainstream -- that almost any kind of alternative reality is real. To avoid being caught up in every phony flying saucer scam requires eternal vigilance. Of course, the same applies to the occasional real flying saucer-type reality that is being covered up for various reasons. It can and does occasionally really happen. But it's rare, and it requires a fair amount of research and intelligent discrimination to pick the rare tiny jewel from the mountain of trash. Well Dave, you just lost the debate in my judgment; unless you are saying that the aliens who abducted me and performed unspeakable experiments on me were just the Dallas cheerleaders dressed up in big bulgy eyed gray-colored space suits. Come to think of it, their eyes were a good deal lower than you would expect.

According to Rasor, Shaun Lemon will transfer
Zipmeister replied to ZachTheZip's topic in Akron Zips Football
Maybe Coach can get the same guy who wrote Shawn's statement to write one for him too. I thought that one was excellently done and was highly believable. -
Delonte with an off court assist. What's the problem?

If you believe Shawn authored this statement, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you. -
4-26! We probably found out about this guy as we were trying to schedule them. I wonder if Eastern Shore has any decent players?

EA is the only one I've ever seen refer to Gilliam as a forward or as being 235lbs. Everyplace else I've ever seen has him as a guard at around 220lbs. how about the umbc athletic dept web site? http://www.umbcretrievers.com/sports/mbball/roster.asp

Whoever wrote the statement attributed to Shawn that appears on Rasor's site could teach most of the participants on this board a thing or two about writing.

I voted for at least 9 wins so dreal would have some company.

Alright, nobody seemed impressed by the idea of free food and naked cheerleaders, so here's another thought. At least once per year admit kids for free and advertise the event as "unnattended children will be sold as slaves at halftime night." The proceeds could be put to a variety of worthwhile uses.

I feel the same way about chop blocks in football.

New 2010 football verbal: Billy Harmon
Zipmeister replied to ZachTheZip's topic in Akron Zips Football Recruiting
Cool. We beat out Valpro. Robert Morris and Ashland for a recruit....Put Marietta College on there and we will have beaten all the major players for a recruit.. I double checked to make sure you didn't mean Vandy, Rutgers and Appy State. You didn't. Is that a kick in the head or what? -
A link to three sentences that has the original link that was posted in the top of this thread a month ago?!? You guys are really on top the situation. Well here is some inside information for you. We are playing NC State this upcoming season. Good luck finding that anywhere else on the web. "Anywhere on the web." You have got to be kidding. Its everywhere! NC State has its entire athletic web site devoted to the game calling it their marque matchup of the year. The early line has the quins as a 22 point favorite.

Bye the way, I originally thought that this is the best thread ever published on this board. Than I reconsidered; now I can think of to that is better.
-
Things are looking up for Akron then. They haven't received an invitation, but they have discussed expansion "internally".
-
Free food and naked cheerleaders.
-
No doubt about it. This stud almost single-handedly (hoovedly) put the pleasure in western pleasure horses.
-
My favorite quote from the link... "The message suggested that Lemon had spoke about transferring before" Sounds like it was written bye more then to of are posters.
-
Hey I just noticed this. <----- What's this?
-
I'm not exactly sure what I'm voting on here. No real question was asked. I voted as if the question was "who has had the worst recruiting class in the last three years"
-
Well he's fine as a Zips fan, but I would rather he was my doctor. At every visit I know he would tell me I was in perfect health and was going to live forever.

I didn't know dreal played computer games.

I agree half-heartedly. Whereas I am excited with expectations for I.coach, I have been bombarded in the last couple weeks with IM requests asking for my personal thoughts about the likelihood of I.coach's chances for a spectacular 1st season. I believe he will lead us to the Promised Land and beyond. That said, I feel I must publicly address the many e-mail requests that I apply for the Head Coach position in case of a dismal year. Again, I truly believe that Coach will deliver a stellar season. But to address the requests that I somehow perhaps step-in and provide some assistance/guidance in the interim, I can only say that I truly appreciate your votes of confidence, but I do not believe I would be right for the role of HC, in no small part because as William Hung explained to the American Idol judges back in 2004, I too "have no professional training". GO ZIPS!! KICK ASS IN 2010! I was hopeful about the upcoming season. Now, not so much. What do you know I know that you are definitely a "glass is half full" type of person, and I suspect the contents of your glass is vodka rather than water.
