    I get that, which is why I'd only want to do it if someone came with. The C-USA as is isn't very appealing. But if say, OU and UT came with, yeah I can dig it. Plus, the other factor is what if UA says no and they go anyway. Then I think we're in a bit of trouble. Or they could just add a southern team and this would be a waste of time and excitement

    Wow so 21-2 if a MAC member joins us. 15-8 even by our self. Small sample size, but still. I didn't get the impression from many around here that they would support it.

    Yes and no. I'm sure a few ADs will probably be ignoring our calls if we went through with it.

    My high school alma mater (between 150-190 per class nowadays) came up with a U-Stream for their last two playoff games. The quality was much better.. I just don't understand how a division one athletic department can't do better than my high school. Ridiculous. And it cost them games televised on an ESPN network to boot.

    I'm with CK. I'll pull a GP1 here.. "Identity" seems like the building process. It doesn't win us games. Reminds me of really bad seasons as well. If the players like it, and recruits like it, they could wear pink & purple for all I'd care. They're the ones that are going to win games.

    I think that's a 2 or 3 bid league if UA, UT and OU join. Decent travel in a division of us, OU, UT, Marshall, WKU, ODU and MTSU. I guess I'd be bummed if we joined and no other MAC teams did. Looks like they'd either add 1 or 3. I'd hope a MAC team or 2 joined us, if we did in fact look to make the move.

    I would support a move if OU and Toledo joined us. A division of us three, Marshall, ODU, MTSU and Western Kentucky would be great.

    Although looking at divisions, we would have a heck of a basketball division with UA, MTSU, Western Kentucky and Old Dominion. Not terrible travel in that division either, I suppose.

    I was in for the CUSA a few years back.. But I'm not sure it's an upward move at this point. Competition is a little bit better.. But terrible travel, no rivals, not much local interest. Not many "names" that will draw fans out to games either. I think I'm in the stay put camp, unless we can get into the AAC at some point.

    It's always nice to have informed, connected posters. GP1 was a former player, and knew what he was talking about. I wasn't a fan at first, but he was usually right, and I ended up agreeing with him a lot of the time. Here's to hoping he is wrong on the future of the program. Hope to see you back though, GP1.

    10 bucks to park is really nothing. Go to any game outside the MAC and you will be happy to find a ten dollar spot.

    You're missing the point. If there is a better QB on the roster, he'd be playing. The coaches see these guys more than us. I'm more than fine with a competition for the starting job next year.

    They already ruined them by that point. You really think through 16 years they never had a good QB on the roster? They'll do it to Hoyer too. Every QB knows they're on a short leash, the fans turn on them their first bad game.. It's not a good environment to succeed and I don't want to see that at Akron.

    Yup agreed. 4 game roadie in 6 days... Wish we could have hung on but it happens. Nothing to be alarmed about, PSU isn't a B1G bottom-feeder this year. Newbill is a stud.
