I can't remember the exact phrasing Dambrot used in the post game show after the Buffalo loss, but yes, he indicated that he thought the program had surpassed such tournaments. But he gave more reasons than just that, mostly tired and beat up. He did say multiple times that he would check to see how the team felt also. As I stated before, taking all things that transpired this year, I think he made the correct decision.

We would have been better this year with Tree. We will be a better team next year because Tree was not on the team this year. He was a focus many times on the offensive end of the court. IMO, I think sometimes he was a simplistic offensive option too many times. I see the potential for more offensive creativity developing since he has departed.

I would hope not. Hurley is good for the MAC. In my brief conversation with him last week, when I indicated my feelings about his positive effect on the MAC, he changed the subject to speaking of how he liked Akron's team. Read into it what you like. I never considered rooting against a MAC team in the tournament for the betterment of the league?!?!

I think it was to our advantage to see Ken+ defend the perimeter so vehemently last night and still come away with a win. Hurly and some of his players sat next to me studying the outcome. He sat very quietly (ironic right). I kept looking over trying to think what he thought. I wonder how he will defend after watching last night. PS I briefly spoke with him and his first response was respect for Akron's team.

As someone who has tailgated there, that guy is TOTALLY right. It's a shame that business tends to ruin such things.

I saw about 7 other ZN members, and a group of 19 or so possible students (some might be on the 7 year plan). I would hope tonights crowd will be bigger. Not looking forward to the Ken+ girl-like screeching every time there is a Portage county peach bucket.
