Since the year 2000, the MAC has been a one bid league. The sixteen year average seed for that one bid is 12.4. Without looking at RPI, CBS, SOS, pom-pom, or any other spreadsheet, I'll guess it's the same this year within one either way.

After a couple years off, I put the show back on my DVR list this week, for some reason this is the only show on my provider that has a recording issue. It records ten different shows a week (with first run selected), shows that don't even involve the Zips, different stop times, etc. I watched this week, KD claimed that from this point forward, the goal was for Akron to be the number one defense in the MAC. After watching, I took the show back off my record list until this gets resolved. I don't hold out hope, since this has been going on for years. If anyone notices a difference, please let me know.

I think this has some advantage on a Friday night (this year) with no Cavs, and no Columbus. But again, I would love to see the numbers. It used to be easy with Nielsen ratings, but I can't find anything accurate anymore with streaming quickly garnering more and more viewers. Someone has to have numbers to present to advertisers, but I can't find them. I would be interested to see the ASN vs ESPNU numbers this week. PS I hate it when Hip Zip picks the opposition, because I respect his opinion. ?

It sure is nice to have depth at a position. It's been a long time. Don't count Van Edwards out of the mix, coach mentioned he played most of last season injured. The ideal situation would be for Warren to be healthy and carry the ball like Biggs did back in 2005. It was no coincidence that we had a great go to back, and won the MAC that year.

I would love to see some viewing statistics from all the televised games. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Personally I haven't seen this much Zips basketball since Ball and Bosley played (I lived in Akron then). Now, even if I have a scheduling conflict, I watch the game the next day on ESP3 replay. I would like to see those numbers too. Are those even available? Because the Zips are the best team, and hopefully create the most viewers for advertisers.

I hope I don't drive all the way to Happy Valley to watch Warren Ball NOT run. I watched enough of that in 2016. If it's fourth quarter and we are up by 23, then you can sit him.

Thomas to CSU Cleveland State will announce later today that Mike Thomas has been hired as the school's new director of athletics, following official approval by the board of trustees, according to multiple sources and reports.

Phil Savage has been the Executive Director of the Senior Bowl since 2012. He also does color commentary for the Crimson Tide. He often appears on NFL Radio especially around draft time. If you get a chance to listen to him, you will be amazed how knowledgable he still is. He is one of my favorite guests. I'm impressed.

I wish somebody (1350/the U) would put up a replay of the post game show. I don't get to listen to it all the time, and I am always interested when KD talks. I would like to see him look at the rim a little longer before letting go of the ball.
