How does it make you feel that some Zip football players tweeted their OSU rooting interests & emotions during the Orange Bowl?

Zip players "tuning out" when addressed by KD is not a new phenomenon and has been bothering me for quite some time. However, I think the body language has definitely plunged to new depths this season. Troubling. I hope KD can circle the wagons quickly. It looks like the wheels are about ready to come off.

I'm with you. Most people here have a pretty tough epidermis, though. I think that critics of this forum should temper their negativity, however. It is fine to opine that the opinions expressed here are "a joke", but they should appreciate the traffic and volume at ZN.o because some MAC boards are graveyards. Zips fans have enough interest to actually participate, which we all should be proud of. Warts & all.

Unless you have very thick skin, fan forums are usually not the place for players, staff or their families.

Uh-oh. Looks like BG made a quality hire. Link If the Falcons continue to play good defense, Babers is sure to kick up the offense a notch or two. Eastern Illinois' QB threw for 8873 yards and 84 touchdowns the last two seasons.

Yes, but. . . Isn't it always better to keep the illusion going until the last possible game? Notre Dame could have (and really should have) lost to Stanford last year, but they continued their charade all the way to the BCSNCG where they were finally ultimately uncovered for what they were. The Cincinnati team that got embarrassed by Florida in the Sugar Bowl kept their #3 ranked deception intact until the final act. Certainly it is better to face exposure in the ultimate game, right? MAC teams tend to be premature bed shitters.

It sucks when the ESPN talking heads are proved right. Another example of why we are what we are. Just for once, couldn't the MAC regular season standard bearer go into the Championship Game and take care of business? Maybe the league office should consider moving the MACCG back to on-campus.

I don't believe I ever said that NIU wasn't worthy of a BCS bowl. Someone was on here spouting about NIU getting no respect in the National Championship conversation, if you will recall.

This is shocking, because I read in another thread how NIU was really underrated and they deserved to be ranked a lot higher than a 2-loss SEC team.

The atmosphere at Browns tailgates is pretty family unfriendly no matter who you"re rooting for.

For many of us, 2014 vacation reservation begins on January 1. Are you going to keep a few days in reserve in hopes of getting to go to a Zips bowl game? I am curious how many of us are thinking that far ahead. How many of us are optimistic about the Zips chances of making a bowl? How many of us even would consider traveling? I would hate to see a bunch of posts next year from people who cannot travel because of work. I am saving some days and planning to follow the team wherever they play. Yes, I am confident they will go bowling and those of us who travel will rendezvous for one helluva party. Thoughts?
