  1. Worth taking a look at. We aren't even as bad as some others in our conference let alone the rest of the nation. We just get the publicity because the football team and university's recent failures. https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances
  2. AFAIK we lost our best OL to graduation and the 2nd best to Auburn and haven't brought any upper classmen transfers in. Coaches must be really banking on the others who contributed last year getting better and their red-shirt freshman OL.

  4. They might be contractually obligated to pay. What argument do they have not to play/pay when they are going to go ahead and still play their conference games as of now? P5 is the one breaching the contracts. Even though they might have to pay, they are still likely coming out ahead financially by canceling the games. Don't have to deal with game day costs and they likely aren't missing out on ticket revenue. The more I think about it, I'm pretty confident G5's will at least get a substantial fraction of their payout in whatever channel they have to go through. A P5 being proactive and paying may think they are doing it for good PR or whatever, but realistically they are just avoiding a bunch of legal fees + eventually paying out by doing so.
  5. Rich Hall, who I was high on as freshman from performance in the spring game, is certainly becoming well traveled. Akron year 1 -> Indy CC year 2 -> NMSU beginning of year 3 -> ??
  6. Most definitely - myself included. I don't blame people for easing up until now though. This is the first time in all of our lives dealing with a situation like this.
  7. I hope what you believe is true. The country was essentially shut down for 2.5 months and it apparently didn't do much besides help "flatten the curve". I've been running errands all morning and I'd estimate 95% of people were wearing masks. Only recall one person who wasn't.
  8. Agree. Unfortunately that still doesn't likely mean any more $$ for us. Anyone in addition to the norm who would normally come won't be able to with whatever social distancing measures that will be in place.
  9. Jack wagon Dustin Fox - still on crap $hit list after trashing the school/football program - tried to spin this as a positive sign that we would have football in the fall.
  10. Screw the P5 and move G5 football to spring. We can’t continue to rely on them and they have too much power/don’t want us as it is. Might as well be in two different divisions anyways considering zero chance to win a national championship and not much better to get into a high bowl game. I have a really good feeling Ivy League isn’t going to regret the decision. Football is America’s sport. G5 programs already have an established fan base that will continue to grow when no other football is on. More ticket revenue + renegotiated TV deals could easily have us break even or come out ahead compared to now. This isn’t the same situation as these failing pro leagues building from the ground up.
  11. BIG 10 cancels OOC schedule which likely means all MAC shools scheduled to play them are missing out on serious cash. Would be a pleasant surprise if we could benefit for once and still get to play Clemson. Odds aren't on our side though.
  12. Konata looks like a beast (not even talking about this catch). Kind of surprised we were his only FBS offer. My assumption is grades, because he shouldn’t need to greyshirt. I believe he is also Henry Ruggs’ cousin. Looking forward to seeing him in the blue and gold. With all the seniors this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he contributes as a freshman.
  13. Can't find a 247 profile, but looks like he had offers to UMASS, Liberty, and a handful of FCS schools.
  14. that sucks.
  15. Honestly they are probably in better shape with the changes. Tree was one of my favorite players to watch as a Zip, but both he and Harney are kind of an embarrassment to the program considering they were each kicked off the team.
  16. Leave it to the Ivy League to figure it out first. @GP1 https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/2619837/ivy-league-could-be-the-first-conference-to-implement-a-spring-football-season
  17. Yea, any stadium restrictions outside of no fans likely aren't going to stop anyone who wants to go to a game from going considering we are rarely above 50% capacity.
  18. Looks like an English rugby player at tight end. Interesting.
  19. Yes. Still counts as a scholarship.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, this is Romeo Travis' cousin.
  21. From following this the past few years, all recruits will eventually be rated. Many don't get rated until they commit or potentially closer to or on signing day. Roach will definitely be a 3 star. Maybe 1 or 2 others in addition to him so far in the class IMO.

  23. What about the Serb or the guy who punched out Kostelac? edit: missed the part about transfers.
