  2. yeah..247 is incredibly inaccurate when it comes to smaller programs.
  3. You got east and west mixed up bud. Miami, Ohio, Buffalo, and Kent all had winning records last year and I believe all of them should solid again.
  4. We just need to win a damn game this season, just 1 to see some damn progress. Unfortunately the tides have turned and now the east is stronger than the west, IMO so it won't be easy. Anybody who plays this year will not have it count against their eligibility...so everyone gets an extra year. It will be interesting to see what the NCAA does here. 85 is the current scholarship max, but that will obviously go up temporarily. How long will it go up for/when will schools have to be back down to 85 is the real question? If it stays at 85 (which it should), there's effectively going to be a whole year of student athletes who lose the chance to play football at the collegiate level, whether its all done in one year or smoothed out over multiple years.
  5. Good stuff B&G. Based on the limited info I've heard/observed, the only change I'd make if I had to make a prediction would be to swap out Herring for redshirt freshman Ryan Beckman. Coaches/players have been mentioning him in interviews. I also saw his getting some reps with the other 4 in one of the videos released. This unit will surely take some lumps in this "season", but should be a group that will grow together and be a real strength of the team in a few years. I also think Gest may be the starter at RB (at least to start the season) based on what I'm seeing in videos. I'd still expect him and Dollard to split carries unless one really separates themselves from the other though so i'm not sure it really matters.

  7. at least our historically "bigger" draw games in OU and Kant St are away this year.
  8. Not according to recent comments from Coach Arth and the video I saw of practice today.
  9. Sucks for Jojo.
  10. I'd almost bet all will be on the weekdays this year. More exposure and no fans, it just makes sense.
  11. I see Zipsnation is pumped for the return of Zips football! I'm setting the over/under at 0.5 games. Most winnable offhand probably will be BG. OH returns a lot, but did lose their QB, so there may be a chance there considering how important that piece is and was for them.
  12. A welcomed change - the sky isn't completely falling for once.
  13. welp....

  17. I'll pose this question: If "the science is the science" is really the reason we aren't playing football this year, why is there high school football, why can UCincinnati play football, why can the Browns/Bengals play football, why can all of these Universities have students on campus, why can students go to high school, why can our own football team continue working out, together, and why can the Big 12, SEC, ACC, Sun Belt, CUSA, and AAC, among others, play football this year but we can't? University of Central Arkansas and Austin Peay already showed we can play without spreading. How many students who've contracted COVID-19 since returning to campus have been hospitalized? The answer is none. I'm pissed I can't watch us play this year. I'm not going to claim this is political (and I don't think GP1 was either), but this sure as heck isn't strictly "science". I think claiming the protection of others is the easiest and most logical scapegoat, but that isn't even a part of the B1G playing debate anymore, its myocarditis and those numbers have been recently proven to be grossly exaggerated (not to mention there are doctors who don't see it as that serious) Its more money related than anything IMO. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/penn-state-clarifies-doctors-claim-of-one-third-of-big-ten-athletes-with-myocarditis/ar-BB18GITN?ocid=uxbndlbing
  18. Watching Hoban vs St Eds. Luke Bauer had a really nice pick 6. Hasn't really done much outside of that. Jaylen Castleberry (CB St Eds) vs Rutgers commit Brayden Fox has been a good match up so far. Castleberry has an Int.
