Clark, l tend to agree with you. I feel ball security has been an issue. Both decision making and security issues could go away with maturity. If he develops confidence in himself and THOSE around him, maybe he won't try to do too much on his own. From a distance, that seems to be the issue.

I like "sawing wood"! It fit the situation perfectly. Varnish gets all the glory, but you have to saw wood first to make it happen. You need to do the grunt work to be able to get to the glory.

Richardson could have bulked up some to be a Jason Taylor type DE. He could bring some quickness pressuring QB's.

When our returning OL were true FR, we had a 1000 yd rusher(that threw this career down the toilet). They are bigger & stronger now. With the additions, l think MO's Offense will allow us to move the ball on the ground and air.

This is very interesting. It would be just as interesting to hear from our DC how to confuse the QB's reads. Counter moves by the O. I remember Bowden's first season. He had a QB who could execute, and we lit up the score board; only to have our opponents light it up a bit more. If nothing else, we should have some fun FB in the fall!

I'm optimistic for all of them until proven wrong. Additionally, l believe there is unrealized potential in the returnees that our competent staff will recognize and develop. In the MAC, all it takes is a sprinkling of studs in the right places to be a winner. OOC will still be tough, but if we can enter the MAC season 2 & 2, l think we will go Bowling in '22!

@catdaddyp, glad to have you, but what on earth got you interested in a dumpster fire? Transfers in the past (BB & FB) have been a mixed bag. Some we wish we had never seen to fabulous additions, and those in between. We will learn much over the next month about those who are on campus.

We need to really focus on the first 4, particularly the first 1/2. A slow start could kill us. On the other hand, winning the first 4 could propel us to V.

Do we have any transfers on campus. It would be real nice to have a springboard into fall(August).

Talking them into coming isn't so hard. When reality sinks in, the real trick is to keep them here!

@TheZipCat, you missed my point. Phlogiston was a widely accepted explaination for fire. It would be laughable to most reasonable people today. It was used in our class to show that one should be open to new ideas, new information. If one is locked in on one's thinking, you will be left behind. If one becomes locked in on their thinking concerning Covid, whether it was from accepted science or from an out of context statement used by an uninformed talking head, you will be left behind! Covid is changing. Our understanding of covid must change. Our response to Covid must adapt. I think you have given us information that critical thinkers very much welcome. We are all tired of this. I'm tired of taking my trash out to the street, but if I didn't do that tonight in 2* weather, it would just pile up. Even my dog knows not to foul up his nest. One cannot put their head in the sand, and wish that change isn't happening. Please continue to help us keep up with best practices to keep us healthy. My hope is that the people making decisions affecting the young men representing us on the court make those decisions with the players best interests!

@94zipgrad, you are right. One number that should be interesting is class make up of rosters. I wonder what recruiting class compared to actual scholastic class standing would look like. When Jojo transferred, one had to have graduated to transfer without sitting out a year. If 1/2 of the D1 prospects in the class of '22 are still available, we should be OK come Groundhog Day.

Groundhog Day can't get here soon enough. Are transfers limited to the same signing periods?

Just an aside, Jeannette produced a pretty good QB for OSU.

Perhaps a bonus for graduation rate and scholastic achievement rate. JoeMo mentioned that he wanted his players to graduate with a degree that was meaningful.
