Running over tree roots with a vehicle can kill trees, depending upon the species and the age and the root that was run over. Injured roots can also become infected with various tree fungi which can also kill the tree. Considering universities have something aesthetically to gain from having hundred-odd year old trees on their campuses, Sounds like a completely valid reason to fine someone...or at least to hopefully prevent someone from being overtly careless. Basically it boils down to the "Give a damn" contention...I'm wondering if we can move the "Give A Damn" hypothesis to theory now, because UA still demonstrates that it really doesn't give a damn...about engaing the public, or it's alumni and students

I still check my Uakron email all the time, and I can't remember the last time I recieved ZipsLine...what do they just stop sending it to Alumni? Again, I hate to sound like a broken record when I say this, the administration doesn't 'give a damn' about our student body.

I wonder if the Corps of Cadets will be in attendance...

I almost forgot about MTB1! Shame on me. This team has the opportunity to be very polished next year in the passing game, more so than any other year in recent history. Woodson having an entire off season as the starter, Lane and Wolf have developed into good options, and next year we should have MTB1 and Michael Means back from injury. I remember Means looking promising in the spring game.

Exactly! I always kinda hoped we were going to have those as the permanant "New Jersey". Unfortunately they just, large scale, adopted the Black Jerseys. But apparently they have a limited amount of those Blue Jerseys out with our players?

Take a close look at the Pittman solid blue jersey in this picture, Is it just me or does it resemble the Blue "tire tread" uniform that we saw in concept art, and being floated around the same time that the Black Uniform was picked?

They should do a voucher system. Season ticket holders should get one automatically IMHO. I arrived about 35 min before kickoff and didn't get one.

I can answer this one for you: student engagement. Administration doesn't take the student body seriously and invests in nonsense.

I can...it's the Zips and they're playing Villanova. The Zips haven't scored more than 1 point in the past, almost 10, game minuets.

We gotta start making shots. Villanova went on a 15 point run.

And he's a sophomore...best potential in a Zips QB in a long time. Not to hate on Pohl, he is the Sophomore who had the most potential before TW13, but his potential fizzled out unfortunately.

It's really unfortunate that the soccer game is at 4:00 while the Basketball game is at 4:30. I will be following the basketball game on my phone while I'm at the soccer match. Wish I could watch both, this potentially could be one of the biggest weekends and Zips sports history and I won't be able to watch each of the games!

I wonder if they're going to wear the black uniforms on "Black Frye-Day"

I watched Woodson during much of the first half. I hate to sound like a broken record, but I liked what I saw in him inbetween plays. I saw him on numerous occasions directing the other players, which I'd never saw Pohl do. TW13 still makes some boneheaded plays and overthrows some recievers, but I'm looking forward to see if he can polish his game with an offseason and camp to work as the starter and not No. 3 on the depth chart.

Good lord does our Basketball and Soccer teams need out of the MAC...

Penalty yards per game stat has to be wrong...there's no way both of these teams are giving up 500+ yards in penalties per game...

Can someone explain to me why you have a railing, and then tell people they can't walk up to it, and then install a barrier to prevent you from going to the barrier? It's beyond stupid IMO.

We used to be able to do that at the football stadium...Now they have fences to prevent students from walking up to the actual guardrail in the south endzone student section. Nothing speaks: "we don't trust our students, and must treat them like babies who need to stand behind a fence behind another fence" than that move. It's not like we had a major problem of students rushing the field or something...why they made that move is just stupid to me; it looks tacky as hell.

The Zips basketball team, and soccer teams are very successful and students still don't show up to games; I was at the soccer game sunday for the MAC Championship, and (on a beautiful day) there were very few students...). The student-attendance problem is a cultural one, and it has many variables that have been discussed at length on this thread and on this board.

IMO The only way the Zips win this game is if it's a low scoring, defensive brawl. The higher the score, the worse of a chance we have of winning the game.

I am very proud of this team. Jackson is unbelievable, 40min at PG and he's a sophomore!? Unbelievable. This team has a very high ceiling.
