InTheZone
Gentlemen, it's been a long, painful, grueling road to get here, but I do believe we can finally raise a glass. We have arrived.

MDZip
Liked the little LeBron nod by CBS earlier. And CBS just mentioned the Zips are only one point from scoring the most points ever against Marshall in Huntington in regulation. Now I want that :-)

AKSportsFan
I'm ecstatic about the score but these penalties are ridiculous on both sides.

GoZips88
Joe Akron finally has something to go see at InfoCision. Weather looks delightful at this point ... Edited September 17, 2016 by GoZips88
Buckzip
Hell of a win. The progrum is on the rise. Love seeing freshman play too.
tpsjugglerdude
It's hilarious looking at the part of this thread that took place during the 1st quarter. Great to set scoring records at Marshal. Has Akron ever put up 65 points against a FBS team?
Dr Z
I wish the cameras could follow the team to the locker room, I want to see the celebration!

Phootss
That was a win we needed to win and should never have been that much of a underdog. This a great victory and I will enjoy it!! Go Zips!

ZachTheZip
First ever Zips victory in Huntington. Zips-Herd games are almost always classics.
zipsoutsider
I was hoping we could come out of OOC play at least 2-2 and we will do that, if not better. Despite claims that the sky was falling, the Zips put together a nice win, overcoming some adversity and demonstrating that their high-powered offense is for real. There were some break-throughs with the defense, today, but we still have a long way to go there. Special teams play continues to give me heartburn, but they played big after their early mistakes. Congrats to Manny Morgan who had a career day.

LZIp
What a great win....right up there with the bowl win and win at Pitt as far as I'm concerned. Everything that I have an issue with is completely under our control (composure/penalties), not because of a lack of talent. Was nice to see some members of the 2016 recruiting class contributing. Featherstone was everywhere and Davis played a solid game as well. Jest even got a nice sack in garbage, although Marshall still had their starters in. Hopefully Marshall goes on to have a great season. I like playing a good out of conference G5 team that is within a reasonable drive. On to the next one. Time to keep building on the momentum before heading into conference play. App St. got drubbed by Miami a little worse than I expected today. Should be a good one next week. Captain Kangaroo
If Woodson keeps getting that time to throw, look out MAC. I agree with LZip & BuckZip that seeing some of the young, new names shine was great too. Kwad Smith was another one. Of all the guys contributing on offense today, only Natson won't be there next season.
skip-zip
Ok....Who wants to admit that when Marshall was up 21-7.....AND had the ball....that it was "here we go again" time ? 2nd Quarter Scoring was really 34-0? Isn't that nearly mathematically impossible? Who knew that this was also our first win EVER in Huntington? What a day !!! Hope we saved some explosive plays for next week. I will admit that the Kangaroos chances was Zero at that time(given their track record the last 5 years), but with that being said, if, and I mean IF the Flags are kept at the minimum, this Team can score at will.... Horrible coaches, no talent, the sky is falling, etc.. The fan base certainly underestimated us, I doubt the coaches did. The hit on the QB in Q2 was obviously a game-changer for us, but scored, all day, at will. 3 hours ago, Captain Kangaroo said: If Woodson keeps getting that time to throw, look out MAC. The offensive line is playing very well, given its experience level and Tommy is throwing the ball, very well. We consistently just sprint past coverage. App State will be another story. They will come to win. If we pull off a win next week, it would send a pretty loud message about the 2016 Zips. Hat's off to the person or persons who put Tommy on the Unitas award watch list.
