Let'sGoZips94 Posted January 6, 2019 Report Posted January 6, 2019 PPCCC (Pinky's Portage County Community College) and Ohio BFE (Ohio, well, you know what it means) going down, at home, to BUGS and NIU respectively, the former being a 22-pt beatdown, is flat out awesome. Props to the Zips for overcoming an off day, and that's putting it nicely. 1 Quote

Beat Vandy and Oregon State away and lose at home to a team that got thumped by Detroit Mercy and Cleveland State. Edited January 7, 2019 by clarkwgriswold 1 Quote
Dr Z Posted January 8, 2019 Report Posted January 8, 2019 Buffalo's performance vs. Toledo will shape postseason play by John Gasaway ESPN Insider "... the MAC is currently ranked No. 9 in Division I at KenPom, marking the league's best showing in the past 15 years. ..." 1 Quote

NWAkron Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) Around the MAC, Miami looking to lose first two home games. Toledo..eh..overrated. UB is going to sweep the MAC go into NCAA with one loss. Of course WMU making a run on Pinky and the Flashes. Saul Ball isn't long for Athens. Edited January 9, 2019 by NWAkron Quote
zipsrule Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 Buffalo absolutely destroying Toledo. Up by 38 with 4 minutes and change left. Quote

Toledo had a cupcake pre-MAC but the only hope is to be on the other side of Buffalos bracket in Cleveland and hope for something crazy to happen. Quote
LZIp Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 I would easily take the field to win 1 game this season vs Buffalo. 1 Quote

They will be 29-1 or something like that going into the NCAA tournament. If losing to Kent in the final game will put the Zips on the opposite side of the bracket then I say put KLac, Smith, Walters, and Eman in for the 2nd half Quote
kreed5120 Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 Honestly, with the way we play defense if we somehow have a night where we shoot the ball somewhat decent , I think we'd have a chance of beating Buffalo in 1 of our potential 3 match-ups. That being said, with our inconsistent offense (can I really call it that since it's actually consistently bad?) and inability to win tight games, I don't give us much of a chance of winning 3 games in 3 days. clarkwgriswold Posted January 11, 2019 Report Posted January 11, 2019 I want to take this opportunity to castigate all of ZipsNation for failing to heartily congratulate Mr. Pinky on becoming PCCC's all-time leader in coaching wins. Being the PCCC leader in all time wins is like being Crash Davis in Bull Durham, the all-time leader in minor league home runs. It means you were never good enough to move up. Quote
NWAkron Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 Couple of interesting halftime scores in Muncie and Buffalo Quote
kreed5120 Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 EMU just pulled their starters up 37. Quote
NWAkron Posted January 12, 2019 Report Posted January 12, 2019 After looking at the three scores from today so far, there's something to be said for the Zips always keeping it close. Quote
GoZips88 Posted January 19, 2019 Report Posted January 19, 2019 OU down 33-10 with about 8 minutes to go first half @ Toledo. Last year of Saul Phillips' 5-year contract ($581K this year). Quote
