I'm not sure the answer to your first question dictates the answer to your second question.

Good Lord Zipmeister! You are brutal today. Didn't you take your nice guy pill today? You are going to make Let'sGoZips94 feel he isn't loved.

72, how could you read my response to 94 and not see that between the lines I was saying: "94, you sure ask some good questions and I hope one of your fellow ZipNationers can provide you with the answers you seek. I still love you 94."

Sorry Meister, I should have caught your obvious inference. I've been a little slow on the uptake lately. I attribute it to the no sports withdrawal syndrome.

I guess the starting line up will be Freeman, Tribble, Ali, Tavari, Hunter?  Dawson and Nate off bench.  who is the point?  Tavari?

I'm going to guess

PG - Thornton

W - Tribble

W - Dawson

P - Ali

P - Freeman

Tavari, Scott, & Hunter 1st off the bench w/ plenty of PT.

thank you.  this should probably be a new thread.  I forgot about Thornton and I didn't think Tavari was quite ready.  you aren't big on Nate?

I love Nate. But he needs more confidence in himself. I’ve got more confidence in Nate than Nate has in himself. I’m excited to see what kind of jump, if any, he’s made this off-season.

Currently at the breakfast/practice.

Some quick observations:

Enrique is making threes from the wing off of pick and pops;

Darrin Baker is a man;

Shammah Scott is going to be a big contributor;

Ali looks happy and healthy;

Dawson looks to be back up at full speed;

Groce is not mellowing with age.

I can't wait for the season!

Some more observations now looking back.

There are three solid point guards in Scott, Thornton and Tavari.

Baker is going to provide solid minutes as a big and Amani looks much bigger (as mentioned above).  Assuming the shooting I saw from Enrique was not a fluke, we may see two bigs on the floor more often.

The kids are having fun and paying attention.  Even the new kids, especially Scott and Thornton are up to speed already and giving direction to others.

The team communicates well and seems to enjoy each other.  Lots of smiles.  No obvious bad attitudes.

Enrique is becoming more and more of a leader.  In one instance Groce was making a relatively complex point and Enrique in a very low voice put it in very simple terms for a couple of nearby teammates.

This team will be the deepest Zips team in some time.  Other than Enrique there are no distinct stars, but there's the type of talent for a couple of other guys to step up and star on a given night.

Darien Baker looked really good for a true Freshman.  Groce is going to have a tough time getting enough minutes for for everybody to be happy.

I think I semi-jokingly posted a few months ago that the NBA Draft process might add a jump shot to Enrique's game (a glaring weakness if he has his sights set on the pros).
