Game 2- Ohio Wesleyan

Recommended Posts

The Battling Bishops (yes, the Battling Bishops) come to the JAR Friday to face the 0-1 Zips.  It is the Bishops' first game of the season and listed as an exhibition on their schedule.  Ohio Wesleyan is in Delaware, Ohio, the home of the Little Brown Jug harness race.

The Bishops were 11-15 last season and 8-8 in the NCAC.

Give Sharron Young the start and let him go to work!

I'd stick with the current rotation rather than risk damaging Tavari's ego this early in the season.  Dustin Ford may have to dust off his old LCJ defensive notes to help him figure out how to minimize Sharron getting taken advantage of when he's on defense.  He was getting pushed around quite a bit last night.  Don't get me wrong, I think he's a great talent.  I just hope we can tie him down for 4 years.

After watching the first game, how can anyone get excited about this game?

How can you not get excited when the Fighting Pacifists, I mean the Battling Bishops, come to town?

Actually, the only benefit I see in attending is to see the kids farther down on the bench to gauge their possible role in the future.

Zips basketball account is tweeting the game is on ESPN+. Meanwhile, nothing is on there and the Akron app says no tv stream. Somehow Kent St vs Miami OH - Hamilton is though.

I just looked and didn't see it either.

Only 10 dressed.  Josiah and Connor in street clothes, Zack and Mahaffey in knee braces, Wiilson in a boot.  Shammah started for Josiah.  That brought Marvin Musiime-Kamali in as the 10th guy in the rotation.  Sharron and Gray were the offensive leaders, Seth Wilson had a bunch of assists.  They faced zone all 40 minutes.
