His status is probably up in the air due to the court battles.

Absolutely, but it's interesting to see him vs Evan, who is on our roster and has been in photos posted from practice.

Cincy has 14 transfers including 3 MAC guys in Calhoun's first year. Very curious to see how Eric and Amani do in Big12 play.

I personally think Amani has a chance to make a name for himself this season at Cincy. He showed he could play against P4 size in our tournament game and I imagine Cincy will utilize him in his more natural PF position.

Eric I'm guessing will be a piece off the bench this upcoming season, but has the skill set to develop into something special with time.

Hopefully better than Nate.

I am happy that Scott is in the G league but confused why he did not sign for more money with a college program.  The G league pays their players $45,000 for a 6 month season.  Amani Lyles signed with Cinn and I am sure he received more than $45,000.  I thought Scott would find another college program that would pay him more than the G league.  This eligibility issue is tough to follow but if Lyles has an extra year so would Scott.

Scott is part of a different high school graduating class. He graduated in 2021 while Lyles and Evan geaduated in 2022. He already played 5 years. 1 year of JUCO and 4 years of D1. Evan and Lyles only played 4.

It's pretty exciting that we have three former Zips active in the G League right now - Enrique Freeman (Iowa/Minnesota), Shammah Scott (Texas/Dallas), and Nate Johnson (OKC).

The Charge host Iowa on 11/17 and 11/28. It would be cool if we can get a big Akron contingent up there to cheer him on.
