Obviously a little different given Wyoming is the state's only four-year public school (there's also a Catholic College with <200 students in the state).

Not at all different. A company local to Akron should be proud to support the Akron-based DI school.

Wyoming as a state has a population that is similar to Summit County. Even if someone like Goodyear steps in and gives Akron $500K-$1M, I'm expect programs like VCU, Saint Louis, and Loyola Chicago to get something closer to $1.5M+. Just widens the gap between the haves and have nots.

Yes, though Wyoming doesn't have another D1 school that's more popular with that population area than they are.

Idea: teams/players should have to sign two-year contracts. If this included the redshirt year this would still give the athlete an opportunity to transfer two times in his/her career if they would so choose.

Sound fair?

So no more redshirting? The player is allowed to play 5 years?

Players have 5 years to play 5 years of college ball from the time they graduate high school or the time they turn 19 - whichever comes first. No more redshirts (which is a good thing).

NCAA tournament to go to 76 teams. All the 16 seeds and half of the 15 will play in the opening round. Just another excuse to shove the automatic qualifiers down further so they can shove a few more P4 teams in. I hate college sports more everyday.
