There's certainly risk, but I'm not sure it's any different from a team perspective than a player getting a season-ending injury, like Harris last season. I knew of at least two guys in my hometown that passed away on the court during games. A silver lining is that it raised awareness and thankfully defibrillators are practically everywhere now. I remember when it happened to Bronny James, there was a article I was reading that said that basketball players are the most prone to having heart issues. Played at a solid program in high school, Lutheran East. I'm a little surprised with a 6'3" guard. I see it as more of a lottery ticket this year/hedge against losing Scott, Hardman, and Johnson to graduation next year to reduce roster turnover. Now just get a promising big. I think depth and Shammah Scott’s replacement are good points, but here is a guy who can drive confidently to the hoop on the left side of the court. Actually, he appears to be amber dexterous. I think if Groce could fill half his roster with left-handers, he would. It makes the offense more dynamic and is another wrinkle the opponents have to game plan around. Edit: He is from Cleveland, so there’s that. But watching his highlights more closely he seems to shoot with his left and drive mostly with his right. So we’ll see how that plays out. I don't think anyone's replacing Nate individually. Tavari, Scott, and Young all played 24-25 minutes last year. We're not as deep as guard so I'd expect each to see closer to 30 minutes and we try to replace Nate in the aggregate.
