I posted a week or two ago asking if anyone had heard any assistant coaching news. I was referring to this, because there was apparently an Assistant Coach job opening post on UA's website, and there were rumors that Weigand is back in the Akron Blue & Gold after taking a year off. No idea if his appearance in the Wacky Wednesday photo is confirmation that he's on the staff or just hanging around the program, but I would love it if he were part of the staff. When I did the kids camps years ago, he was one of my favorite coaches. His demeanor is terrific. Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted Friday at 03:17 PM Report Posted Friday at 03:17 PM I'm loving some of the Wacky Wednesday photos of the guys playing cornhole, kickball, etc. Some nice team building going on there. Quote

Let'sGoZips94 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Holy did he grow. He is definitely 6'5"-6'6". We recruited him at 6'1" or so. 1 Quote

Based on the bar behind him and comparing it with Lyles same picture, I would say Eric is about 3 inches shorter than Lyles. which I believe would make him about 6'4" in my unprofessional opinion. clarkwgriswold Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I'm really looking forward to seeing what we have in Eric Mahaffey. I'd heard that he was so good in the preseason last year that he was going to see some time and be a contributor as a freshman. Now, it is clear he is doing the off the court work in the off-season. He could develop into a fine Nate replacement. 2 Quote
