13 pt game with this officiating is just fine. Heck of a first half. 39 pts vs the #2 team in the country with a HUGE foul discrepancy.

I think we played as well as we can and we are down 13 points.  I just do not know if we can play that well in the 2nd half so prepared to be blown out.

Absolutely no problem with the Zips effort.  Groce always gets the kids to play hard.

I'm hoping Barre plays more as the season progresses. These are the types of games we need that size off the bench.

Was he yelling at the players or the refs? In that same sequence, he was working both officials hard.

He was yelling at the refs: You are better than that.  A polite way of saying we are getting homered and almost every call has gone against the Zips.

I thought so at first as well, but then he maintained the same energy, maybe even increased the vitriol, and walked to the baseline ref to give him a piece of his mind. It was right after we got called for a foul fighting through a screen.

My thoughts as well. They have size to exploit us down low and guards that protect the ball well. We were always going to have to generate turnovers to create some easy points in transition to keep this competitive. We weren't able to create enough in the first half and I'm not hopeful we will in the second half.

Wow, and that foul on Lyles on the three was so weak! There was barely any contact and it was a brush at the knees long after the ball was gone.

I expected some home cooking, but this is unreal. We can't play the top team in the country and the refs at the same time.

 

It's amazing we are still competitive.
