kreed5120 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago I like the energy and effort Halligan has brought tonight. Quote

This season, he’s averaging 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 30.6 minutes per game while shooting 43.4% from the field. Goes to show you what a defender Greg Tribble was! 1 1 Quote
LZIp Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Young Mahaffey and Scott being pulled out of the starting line up is very surprising to me. Thought both played well OOC. Maybe would’ve made more sense if Barre was put in the starting lineup, which would at least change the play style up a little bit. Quote
1981 grad Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Are we better defensively tonight than last Saturday or is Western Michigan that much worse and cannot hit a long ball. I go with the latter.  Quote
Illini Zip Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Barre out for at least a couple of weeks. Quote
1981 grad Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago We have a great team but only 12 posts during the game. Not much excitement on this board.  Quote

csims0917 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Great win. Very happy with the adjustment. Felt a lot more balanced and complimentary. Need to keep it up! 1 Quote

Told my wife I love her so much, I'm skipping the game vs. EMU.  Shot 17% from 3P and still put up 93 points while winning by 21. Alrighty then. That has to scare the crap out of the MAC lol. What an offense. 2 Quote
clarkwgriswold Posted 16 hours ago Author Report Posted 16 hours ago It's no coincidence that the two kids who play the hardest on defense started tonight. I suspect the message got through. 4 Quote

It definitely seemed like we had fewer breakdowns defensively. Nearly every 3-pointer EMU shot a Zips defender had a hand in their face. 1 Quote

Reading and responding to Zips Nation wasn’t prudent. But I don’t know what everyone else’s excuse is, shame!! Ha!!  Great effort and response to the defensive challenge. Keep it going. Go Zips!! gozips19 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Watching Halligan last night and he reminds me a lot of Brian Walsh. Similar game and almost identical size.  I like what his size brings to our rotations. Quote

Friday rather than Saturday  threw me off Quote
Reslife4Life Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Its so interesting, this team has been so consistently good (at least on offense), people hardly ever talk about Tavari who could be MAC POY. The players that get the most posts are probably Barre and Halligan. We know what to expect from these established guys and they perform every night, its great Quote
HoopsFan03 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Another note about last night. Both Mahaffey boys rebounded very well.   Quote
