clarkwgriswold Posted Saturday at 09:38 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:38 PM The Zips shuffle off to Buffalo for a Tuesday night contest against the Bulls. The Bulls are 13-5 coming off of a last second OT loss at Oxford. According to Gross this is the best Bulls team the current has had since his arrival and are very good offensively. Wisconsin transfer sophomore guard Daniel Freitag leads the Bulls in scoring and rebounding at at 20.3 ppg and 4.5 rpg. Junior guard Ryan Sabol is second in scoring at 17 ppg. They are 6th in offense and defense in the MAC. Quote
csims0917 Posted Saturday at 10:17 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:17 PM Buffalo has some weird games where they look top tier and others where they look like a 6 seed at best. Interested to see which we get 1 Quote
RoyalBlu Posted Saturday at 10:22 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:22 PM (edited) Two one-possession losses (Miami-Kent) and I don't think they play either one again (might be wrong) which puts UB in a bind when it comes to tiebreakers down the road. Edit: 87-81 Kent, one possession game until final seconds. UB does not have another game with Kent, but does have a return home game in a couple weeks against Miami. Ham Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM Report Posted Saturday at 11:07 PM Miami pulled today's victory out of their butt with a desperation contested 3 to tie The Buffs with 1/2 second in regulation. I switched back to Akron/Western skipping the OT. The Buffs will test us. Quote
ZipsFan31 Posted Sunday at 02:54 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:54 AM Huge game. A great opportunity to pad our seed line. It will be challenging. Need a “A” game from us ! Quote

infofan Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago If memory serves me the annual trip to arctic Buffalo has not always been kind to the Zips. Would be nice to get Sharron and Chabi back. 2 1 Quote

Let's hope we can do it again tonight 1 Quote
Zips1991 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago I won't pretend to know much about Buffalo. I've watched them a couple times for a few minutes here and there. I do know they have a pretty good offense and with our suspect defense, any good offense concerns me a bit. I also know Freitag is obviously their best player so we'll need to contain him and make others beat us. Quote

UAZipster0305 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago If we play the full 40 minutes, we win. If not, we lose. It's really that simple against teams that have lesser but still moderate talent, especially when playing in Canada. Quote
Zips1991 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Just saw shootaround photos on IG and Sharron was involved. Doesn't mean he's playing today but it's a good sign for the near-term. 2 Quote

Zips1991 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Coach Groce said in the radio Pregame that Sharron is available tonight while Chabi is 1-2 weeks away still. 2 Quote
Reslife4Life Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Also said fretag their leading scorer is out Quote

Reslife4Life Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Gonna need to defend the 3 a little better, they are gonna make those as the game goes on Quote
MDZip Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago 15-2 start when will they be able to not let them back in? Especially missing Buffalos leading scorer. Quote
MDZip Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Lyles is shooting almost 44% on threes. And it's not a small sample size. Quote
MDZip Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago One advantage of playing at the JAR. When they show a game on ESPN you can actually identify who the players are. Quote
