I felt the same way with the team Freeman's senior year. We went out that offseason and reloaded.

I've thought of that team, too. They brought in 5 portal players the next year - Gray, Okonkwo, Hardman, Wilson, and Harris. Unless some players leave, I believe we only have two open spots right now.

IMO 2-3 guys will transfer due to lack of playing time or fit. I would expect 3-4 portal additions. Add in Young, Eric and MMK that bring us to 6-7. From there that leaves opportunities for 2-3 additional players to earn solid, consistent minutes.

I'm not as knowledgeable on who we have redshirting or true freshman coming in, but I'm sure we'll have some competition to fill out those roles.

Word is Halligan a little dinged up. Hopefully he can play this week. But if not, they need to carry on his toughness and defensive energy to start games.

Banged up other than his broken nose that he has been playing with for weeks? Haha

Let’s enjoy this week and remember how good we have it right now! MAC Tourny one of the best experiences in college basketball!

Yeah I mean we can probably send the same video fifteen minutes before the first game Thursday in Cleveland too

There will be many more fans than that on Thursday at 11am.

Something from the NIU game is what I heard. A pull or a tweak

Zips are favored by 13.5 against Buffalo with an O/U of 162.5.

Miami is favored by 7.5 over UMass, and for some reason the other two games are not listed yet.

Toledo is favored by 1.5 over BG. The Kent game still isn't listed yet.

Word is that as of last week there has been record ticket sales for the tournament. In the neighborhood of a 50% increase over total sales from last year with a week still to go. Rocket Mortgage is going to be rocking!

Is there a world where they open the upper bowl?

Amazing what the MAC can be when Balls, NIU, and the Directional Michigans aren't invited.

Shammas 6th Man of the year...again.

TJ got robbed. I'm not even sure if Suder put up the best numbers on his own team, let alone the MAC. They should just change the award name to best player on the best team. That's all it ever is anymore.

Further motivation in the tournament, as if any more were needed.

Just saw a mid major poll that had Miami #1 ahead of Gonzaga.  22 first place votes to 5.  Talk about garbage in and garbage out.

Apart from the POY ( would any coach choose Suder over Tavari for their team?), good representation for Akron.

Spreads for the Quarterfinals are below. Will there be any upsets?

Akron (-12.5) over Buffalo
Miami (-7.5) over UMass
Toledo (-1.5) over BG
Kent (-3.5) over Ohio

I will take UMass for the block.

This might be sacrilegious to say, but I don't think Suder should even be the 2nd choice. Gillespie IMO was the 2nd best player in the MAC this season. I can see Suder at #3.
