It's going to be 91 degrees at kickoff, but it's predicted to only feel 98 degrees. I don't say this lightly......be careful of how much booze you drink, drink lots of water and try to stay out of the direct sunlight.

My first Wake game was almost two decades ago when they played Nebraska at noon. There was one unprepared Nebraska fan being hauled out after another because of the heat. It's hot here in a way you aren't used to in Ohio.

Be smart.

i'm guessing the visiting side is gonna be directly in the sunlight?  I've never been but look forward to it. I cannot wait.  i've been waiting a year for this trip and for this day to come.

The Akron side will be brutally hot.   Nobody checks tickets. Just walk to the Wake side.

sun won't be too much of a factor since it's an evening game. it will be getting dark by the 2nd quarter..

The black chair back seats on that side might even cool down by the fourth quarter. God knows that because of the specific heat of concrete, it won't cool down until October.

The visiting team's band has it the worst if they bring one. They get stuffed into the last place to get shade.

Don't doubt me on the heat factor. Be safe.

From the gozips.com game preview notes article (that says absolutely nothing)

"Joe Moorhead, an inspirational leader of student-athletes and one of the most ingenious offensive minds in football, was named the head coach of The University of Akron football program on Dec. 4, 2021."

I guess "inspirational" takes until Year 5 to manifest?

Someone said they saw Reese P on Akron campus this morning.

Wonderful.  Surprised he wouldn't travel with the team, though, even if he can't play.
